The Problem With Software Engineering Jobs in 2024
As technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, the demand for software engineering jobs has never been higher. However, the industry is facing a number of challenges that could have a significant impact on the employment landscape in the coming years.
One of the biggest issues facing software engineering jobs in 2024 is the shortage of qualified candidates. With the increasing demand for skilled professionals, there simply aren’t enough candidates with the necessary skills and experience to meet the demand. This has led to a situation where employers are struggling to find the talent they need, which in turn has driven up the competition for skilled workers.
Another issue is the rapid pace of technological change. With new programming languages, frameworks, and tools constantly entering the market, software engineers are facing the challenge of staying up to date with the latest developments. This can be a daunting task, especially for those who are already working in the field and may not have the time to devote to learning new skills.
Furthermore, the traditional model of hiring full-time employees is being challenged by the rise of remote work and the gig economy. Many software engineers are now opting for freelance or contract work, which provides them with greater flexibility and the ability to work on a variety of projects. This has led to a shift in the way companies hire and manage their software engineering workforce, with some opting to outsource work to freelancers or contract workers rather than hiring full-time employees.
Finally, the increasing complexity of software development projects is also posing a challenge for software engineers. As technology becomes more advanced and projects become more complex, the demand for engineers with specialized skills and experience is increasing. This has created a situation where companies are struggling to find candidates with the necessary expertise, leading to delays in projects and increased costs.
In conclusion, the software engineering industry is facing a number of challenges that could have a significant impact on the job market in 2024. From a shortage of qualified candidates to the rapid pace of technological change, the industry is in a state of flux. However, with the right strategies and a focus on upskilling the existing workforce, it is possible to address these challenges and ensure that the industry continues to thrive in the years to come.

19:27 I don't think this one will work,as maybe chances are there we might becomes good at exports, but eventually we will end up in place which is not that developed from inside, eventually it will make peoples leave the nation.I belive that we need to make everybody make ready for this change, especially those who don't have much exposure to these things,as they would end up in protest like things and causes damage would retard the progress.
Keep these long forms coming every now and then. Amazing video btw!
We want more from you
Keep this coming
I disagree with Gadkari ji's statement on ban on self driving cars
In the end people have to accept the future and work with AI as just another tool. This will surely enable one engineer to work to complete 2 or more people jobs but this should only accelerate projects.
We also like long form content, let's get more of these.
Loved this episode.
same point of view varun about oversaturation of software developers,it's been more than one month that i'm trying to find niches in software development.can you please tell me varun what niches should i work and take a bet on!?
Watched whole video. Keep creating more long form. To understand your thinking. I value creators thinking, then content. I hate shorts.

Varun bro can you dissect videos like What are the legitimate sources or firms for learning different things . I am an economics student but interested in learning UI & UX as I don't like many of the apps user interface. So I wish to be a qualitative human
Your prototype is cool! Good luck
Thank you so much. Your videos help me a lot. Your videos seem like I am listening from a big brother
He is wrong that tweet. What he mentions is in the past. The expense of a cool , maid and cleaning help can be afforded only by the elite and not an average working family of two. Also these days the families live in a nuclear fashion away from their in-laws z parents and depend on crutches for child care .
These long videos were missed ❤
2:00 it is cheaper to have maids in India because of the density, close proximity of houses, and the communal nature of society imo. A maid doesn't work for just one family, he/she works for multiple homes in the same area. So, although the income may not seem substantial per household, they make a decent amount overall. I am not getting into how much is a fair salary, I am just trying to analyse the way maids operate in the east vs west.
Thank you Varun for starting this. It's fantastic!
Loved this new format
Fantastic video…. I'm still blown away by your explanations and depth of knowledge. Your signal to moise ratio is impeccable. Thank you for this.
Watched till the end, thinking of building a project by investing my time in Tensorflow JS for computer vision, as the niche is undersaturated and amazing projects can be built using it!!!
Bro, why is this not coming on the overpowered???
IS it gonna be dead?
The oversaturation is caused by javascript chapris alone
So Informative Varun, Thankyou for this.
