Living in Thailand for 12 years I came back to the states and worked my butt off in LA in Aerospace for 6 years so i can retire. Moved to the midwest and paying almost the same for my daily living here in missouri as if I were in Thailand ($1200/month). I will go back but for other reasons. people don't realize how much you can get away with in the US if you just move away from the costly areas. Just buy a small condo for cash, get a car without payments and you are good to go right here in the good old USA! Oh and here they speak our language … fluently and drive on the "right" side of the road and you don't have to go to the immigration office every three month to be reminded that you are only a visitor! Just showing a different POV.

The question "What does it cost to live" is an idiots question. What does it cost to live in America? W. Virginia or NYC? Nice job on this video by the way.

Usually girls in Thailand have several phones – each for each "boyfriend". If you marry an Asian girl – you are a wallet for her extended family.

speaking facts about the girls haha, but Ive met bar girls that became good friends, not like any kind of dating situation…, you have to be able to feel people out, Thailand is not for the weak hearted haha….one of the best ways in my opinion to save money is cooking, going to BigC or some supermarket and learn how to cook, a lot of Thai food has salt and its healthier and cheaper to cook…Also if you dont have a Thai bank account, and the fees are getting to you, you can wire money to yourself using Wise or WorldRemit, its cheaper to get money picked up then going to the ATM and doing debit

Don't you use BTS, MRT, monorail?? So easy and cheaper to use living in Bangkok. We're not talking about NYC subway here! Difference is day and night! You should try it, works great for me getting around in Bangkok.

If you do not want the high ATM use fees in Thailand, especially tourist places like Phuket, where I paid 250 baht nearly 7 bucks. Go online and make a Charles Schwab checking account and get their Visa Debit Card. Charles Schwab will refund your ATM fees.

Even girls with regular jobs are not completely safe. Many of them are money chasers and you are a walking ATM to them. But these girls are pretty easy to spot.

To you that I’ve given the advice to everyone which is very good if you have a bachelors degree and a TESO/TEFL Certificate, and a police clearance ladder with no felonies you can teach here you can teach English, which is the most common job for foreigners, who have bachelors degrees, and that you have a study income to pay is pretty good here and they pay for your rent so check it out if you have a degree if it’s not with you, you can ask someone to send you a photocopy of it to you or you go back home and go get it with your transcripts and get a TESO/TEFL Certificate that you must have with your mattress degree to teach you that is a international law so as I say again, if you don’t have it, go home back to America get it you can get it out of community college or you can do it online or they have places here in Thailand where you can get it It’s a lot cheaper here than anywhere else and it certified Tasso certificate you must have to teach it certified you and qualifies you to teach English and a foreign country. I have one I got it here in Bangkok. You don’t have to have a degree in English to teach English. You can have a degree in science or liberal arts, long as you have a degree for your university and no felonies you can teach here in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand, so look into it, sir check it out

7-Eleven has some good stuff in there. 7-Eleven is a very good meals to eat good meals to heat up in the microwave. A very reasonable you can actually live off of a 7-Eleven store when you want to be living reasonable of your income so he’s telling the truth family Mart stores are very good Value plus stores are very good so these are Thai stores you can go to. They’re not the American Shores, the Thai supermarkets and Thai community corner shopping center stores good food is in there and you can live very reasonable. Be careful when you go to eating food from the vendors because you don’t want to get food poisoning you don’t want to get diarrhea I suggest that you buy food from the vendor that they cook it for you fresh or just being fresh deep fried straight out of the oil in front of you do not eat food that has been sitting there for a while or you have the food there and it’s not being prepared. Made to order always make a food order of made to order and fresh in front of you. That is more safe so that you don’t get sick to the stomach food poisoning or diarrhea or all three so I say again do not eat food that’s sitting out in the opentied people do that that is the way of life but as Americans we not used to that our stomach and system is not a custom to that you can get sick real easy if you’re going to buy something from a vendor, make sure that they make it fresh in front of you if they don’t do it walk away

There’s so much more information I can give besides this gentleman that’s doing a very good job you go to the American stores you gonna pay a lot of money unless you have a good income coming in Foodland markets, top supermarkets, Villa supermarkets, gourmet supermarket those are American stores they look just like an American store when you walk in but the food is expensive. So don’t go in those stores unless you got a good income coming in you’re gonna have to go to the big C. supermarket that’s the regular store supermarket here. The prices are very reasonable, but if you got the money you can go to the store you can go to the gourmet stores or the top stores For the Foodland supermarket

He’s absolutely right when he’s talking about having money continually coming in do not just live off of your savings cause you can eventually run out don’t come to Thailand unless you have some kind of income continually coming into your American bank account life for example your pension, or Social Security, some 401(k), some kind of Income coming in when you have property income and then you can be depositing it into your American account and transferring it by wire like I do every month into my Thai bank account so I have money constantly coming in every month and is not for you to blow it and to spin it all up save it and safe here you can keep your money in your room no maid coming in if you have an apartment or condominium you don’t need no one to come in because you don’t want just everybody coming into your room changing your sheets your pillowcases you best way to do is when I first came here years ago, I bought my own sheets, bought my own pillowcases, my own pillows, blankets and wash my own clothes now me and my wife we have a condo meeting with our own washer, built-in, and so everything is OK but when I was single, I bought my own stuff so what he’s telling you listen to him is Jenna Man is giving you good advice and good information when he believe in here for a couple of years, he can give you more information because he learn more. I’ve been living here going on nine years now and so this is a young man who telling you do not come here with your savings. If you’re going to live here, you got to have a constant income, unless you are you were teaching, which you have to have a bachelors degree with transcripts and a police clearance letter with no felonies you can teach here in Thailand, and have a Tasso certificate I will have some other income coming in from America like I say, for example pension or Social Security property income, some kind of income that you know is constantly not just your savings because your savings can run out and they have over 300 American foreigners living on the streets here because they came here and had made bad decisions and bad choices and it happened with the Thai girls here got married to the wrong girl. She took all his money kicked him out the house of the condominium that he paid for in cash and he’s on the street. Those are horror stories I’ve heard over and over so like I said be very, very careful hereis a beautiful country. It’s a nice country. The people are nice and I have not ran into any racism here since I’ve been here for nine years except for white people from the Thai people of Thailand I have not experienced any racism at all so it’s safe for black Americans to come here.

Any speaking being careful when you drink when you go to the nightclub into the bars, they can overcharge you three or four times the amount for one drink they can rip you off don’t drink at the bars do not drink at the nightclubs they will cheat you and you have to pay it or they get violent and I do mean very violent with you the girls and the owners of the bar so my advice is do not go drinking at the nightclubs or the bars because you will get ripped off go to the 7-Eleven get whatever drinks that you like to get if you’re going to drink alcoholic beverages and drink it in your apartment your hotel room or your condominium wherever you’re staying do not drink in the street do not be drunk in the street you will get locked up. They don’t care too much at all for foreigners coming to Thailand, and breaking the rules they regulations and the laws they will lock you up without any mercy. They will show you no mercy so don’t drink in public take your drink from the 7-Eleven and go home and drink it and stay there if you’re drunk, stay there inside your own room do not get in fights with Thai people because they all jump you like a pack of wolves. I’ve seen it happen one time you fight a dozen. I don’t care if you Navy seals we call me wings they all jump you and plus you still go to jail so don’t come here fight or get into argument with anyone don’t get drunk on the streets if you’re gonna drink, buy your drink from the 7-Eleven take it home and drink it and stay there if you’re drunk and dust, the Safeway and wake up sober the next morningin your room, be safe be careful when you come to Thailand, the best way to do is to find out to dues and don’ts online before you come to Thailand find out the rules laws and regulations before you come to Thailand go on YouTube and look up the dues and the don’ts of what you can do what you cannot do when you come to Thailand
