Selling on Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) from Canada has become an increasingly popular way for Canadian entrepreneurs to reach a global audience and grow their businesses. With the rise of e-commerce and online shopping, the opportunities for Canadian sellers on Amazon are endless. If you’re looking to start selling on Amazon FBA from Canada in 2024, here are some tips to help you succeed:
1. Research the Canadian Amazon Marketplace: Before you start selling on Amazon FBA, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the Canadian Amazon marketplace. Understand the trends, competition, and customer demographics to make informed decisions about which products to sell and how to position your brand.
2. Choose the Right Products: When selecting products to sell on Amazon FBA, it’s crucial to choose items that are in demand, have low competition, and offer a good profit margin. Consider the size and weight of the products, as well as any potential shipping restrictions when selling from Canada.
3. Set Up Your Seller Account: To start selling on Amazon FBA from Canada, you’ll need to create a seller account. Choose between an Individual Plan, which is suitable for small-scale sellers, or a Professional Plan, which is ideal for those looking to scale their business. Pay attention to the fees associated with each plan and the benefits they offer.
4. Source Your Products: Whether you’re manufacturing your own products or sourcing them from suppliers, ensure that you have a reliable supply chain in place. Consider working with Canadian suppliers to reduce shipping costs and delivery times.
5. Optimize Your Product Listings: To stand out on Amazon FBA, it’s essential to optimize your product listings with relevant keywords, high-quality images, and compelling product descriptions. Use tools like Amazon SEO and Amazon PPC to improve your product visibility and increase sales.
6. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA): Take advantage of Amazon’s FBA program to streamline your order fulfillment process. With FBA, Amazon will store, pack, and ship your products to customers, saving you time and resources. This can also help you reach Prime customers and qualify for Amazon’s free two-day shipping.
7. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Building a positive reputation on Amazon FBA is crucial for long-term success. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, address any issues or concerns, and strive to provide an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.
8. Stay Updated on Amazon Policies: Amazon frequently updates its policies and guidelines for sellers. Stay informed about changes in rules, fees, and best practices to ensure compliance and avoid any penalties or suspensions.
Selling on Amazon FBA from Canada can be a rewarding and profitable venture for Canadian entrepreneurs. By following these tips and staying committed to growing your business, you can take advantage of the opportunities offered by the e-commerce giant in 2024 and beyond.

You can’t have LLC in Canada unless you are a professional. You only can do sole, partner, or corp.
Amazing video thank you. The only thing I am not clear about is how to ship products from my supplier overseas directly to my 3PL located in usa as a Canadian corporation. Do I need to work with a US customs broker, do I need an EIN? Not clear on the what permits I need to do that… Don't want to ship to Canada and then ship back into USA, that seems inefficient. Thank you!
