If you’re a family man looking to make some extra income by selling used books on Amazon FBA, you may be wondering how to properly label, pack, and ship your items. Don’t worry, it’s actually easier than you may think! In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of preparing your used books for shipment to Amazon FBA, even if you’re a beginner and not a professional seller.
Labeling:
The first step in preparing your used books for shipment to Amazon FBA is to properly label them. You’ll need to create individual labels for each book, which can be done through your Seller Central account. Make sure to print out the labels on self-adhesive paper, as they will need to be attached to the back of each book.
To create your labels, go to your Amazon Seller Central account and click on “Inventory” in the top menu. Then select “Add a Product” and enter the details of the book you are selling. Once you have entered all the required information, click on “Print Item Labels” to generate the labels for your book.
Packing:
Once you have labeled your books, it’s time to pack them up for shipment. Amazon FBA has specific packaging requirements that you will need to follow in order to ensure your books arrive safely at the fulfillment center.
For books, it’s best to use boxes that are sturdy and can withstand the weight of the books. Make sure to use packing material such as bubble wrap or packing paper to protect the books during transit. You’ll also need to include a packing slip inside the box with the shipment information.
Shipping:
After you have properly packed your books, it’s time to ship them to Amazon FBA. You can choose to ship your books via USPS, UPS, or another carrier of your choice. Make sure to select the appropriate shipping method based on the size and weight of your shipment.
Once your books are ready to be shipped, go to your Amazon Seller Central account and click on “Manage FBA Shipments.” Follow the prompts to create a new shipment and select the books you are shipping. You’ll need to print out the shipping labels and attach them to the outside of the box before dropping it off at the carrier.
Conclusion:
Selling used books on Amazon FBA can be a profitable venture for family men looking to make some extra income. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily label, pack, and ship your used books to Amazon FBA, even if you’re a beginner and not a professional seller. With a little bit of effort and attention to detail, you can successfully sell used books on Amazon FBA and start earning money from the comfort of your own home.

The placement fee is showing for me on the shipment page which is making it more costly. Why doesn’t yours show that?
$100 for printer, and $85 for cartridge. A generic rollo is about $120 and it never needs ink, and the labels are free from UPS for lots of what you need…
Even if you pack in one box they can ask you to divide the shipment and ship to more than one location. I pay extra per book to avoid that.
Great video. Wish I had watched this before my first shipment. So many steps are not intuitive and you have shown step by step how to do it. Thanks so much.
Thabks for this video, dude. Helped a ton. Editing was excellent. Your tone of voice helps, like I don't know how you're being so calm lmao definitely earned a sub
"I don't print in color often enough for it to make sense for me to have to buy magenta" finally someone says it.
Thank you, for a well explained video.
i just started selling books on amazon. I am a new dad and this video has been super helpful. It was kinda daunting starting my first shipment but this was good stuff! The kiddos appreciate it
Thank you for this! Question– what if I ship the books and they don't sell?? Also, if the book is showing a negative profit, should I increase the sell price or just avoid selling all together? I am doing the Amazon FBA.
Thank you so much for your genuine and valuable content. I can tell that your goal is to legitimately help us and that's deeply appreciated. There are tons of accounts out there that are geared toward an FBA audience but none come close to your authenticity and level of detail. I have sourced a good amount of books and am ready to send them off. I have no printer currently and want to just have Amazon place the FNSKU labels for whatever extra charge that may be. I just want to start the momentum and then I'll invest in a label printer. I was wondering how would the process change if at all for my scenario? For example, covering extra barcodes. Also, do you have any tips on rating the books? I'm slightly nervous on incorrectly rating them and getting my account in trouble.
Best video should have more views
If it's a collectable book (maybe like a comic book or a graphic novel could I put it in a plastic bag and then put the Amazon label over the bar code but on the bag and not on the product itself?
I like your videos, you should make more … I like the music, the easy goingness and simplicity
This was the 1st video that didnt get lost in the details and confuse me with all the info, and you didnt skip steps and thats important cause its not step by step if you dont show each step. Ty so much. I finally understand. 🙂
