A Day in the Life of a 19-Year-Old Digital Nomad Living Solo in Medellin: Colombia Chronicles

Day In The Life of a 19 Year Old Digital Nomad Living Alone In Medellin | Colombia Diaries

As a 19 year old digital nomad living alone in Medellin, my days are filled with adventure, excitement, and the freedom to work and explore this incredible city at my own pace. Medellin is a vibrant and dynamic city, known for its beautiful weather, friendly locals, and thriving expat community. Here’s a glimpse into a typical day in my life as a young digital nomad living in this amazing city.

My day usually starts early, around 7 am. I like to begin my day with a workout, so I head to one of the local gyms or take a run through one of the city’s many parks. The fresh air and the stunning mountain views provide the perfect backdrop for an invigorating start to the day.

After my workout, I head back to my apartment to kick off my workday. As a digital nomad, I have the flexibility to work from anywhere, and I typically spend my mornings working on my laptop, either on a project for a client or on my own personal ventures. Medellin has a fantastic array of co-working spaces and cafes, so I often choose to work from one of these locations to soak up the city’s creative energy.

When lunchtime rolls around, I take a break from work and head out to explore a new spot for lunch. Medellin is a foodie’s paradise, and I love trying out different local restaurants and street food vendors. Whether it’s traditional Colombian cuisine or international fare, there’s always something delicious to discover.

After lunch, I might continue working for a few more hours or take a break to explore the city. Medellin is full of fascinating neighborhoods, museums, and attractions, so there’s never a shortage of things to see and do. I might visit the Botanical Garden, take a stroll through the Botero Plaza, or hop on the city’s cable car to enjoy breathtaking views of the city and its surrounding mountains.

In the evening, I often meet up with other digital nomads or expats for dinner or drinks. There’s a strong sense of community among the expat population in Medellin, and it’s easy to connect with like-minded individuals through meetups, co-working events, and social gatherings. The city’s nightlife is also legendary, so there’s always something exciting happening after dark.

After a full day of work and exploration, I return to my apartment feeling grateful for the opportunities that come with living as a digital nomad in Medellin. The city has truly captured my heart with its vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty, and endless possibilities for adventure. I look forward to what tomorrow will bring in this incredible city.

I envy you I wish I could go back like 8 yrs and be 20yrs old again, time just really flies by, my advice young lady is don't procrastinate. Make sure you get into school and get a good career going for yourself, besides being a blogger, you know as a backup plan. And what is your story anyways, what country do you come from? And what motivated you to travel and live abroad at such an early age?
Which is very brave by the way!

How do you keep a relationship when traveling like this?
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Maybe a video idea answering these questions
