Sakartvelo is going through rough times, it really is a democracy in its infancy. I think digital nomads have been blinded by the low prices. Now prices have increased it all seems less attractive. Though I visit Sakartvelo since 2015 and there have been good and worse developments just like in any country. Though the people, culture and food have not changed much. And that's what makes Sakartvelo, Sakartvelo. Not the low prices that used to be or the business oppprtunities. That's just a thin layer of gold shining for foreigners to make it seem more attractive. I still believe there is a golden future for Sakartvelo, hopefully in EU though the geopolitical situation makes for a long and gradual development on many levels. We can't expect everything to change in 5 years. Gaumarjos Sakartvelo!

Does a digital nomad care about relationships? If yes, I would add in the "pros" that averagely the Georgians are welcoming and friendly people. I lived in the country for one year, in 2016.
As a Georgia Ex Pat living in the USA for years, I would never imagine a society that would hold in high virtue genital mutilation of children and sodomy. That country has been declining for years and is a second-rate country at best. No city is safe in America, but Georgia is a thousand times safer.
My ex pat Georgian friends and I left America and until it shapes up, it really doesn't deserve our attention.
Those kids are Roma/Gypsy, they officially don't exist as they have no any legal documents, citizenship or residency, that's why it's almost impossible for police to do something.
What about the dogs and crime against tourists
I lived in Tbilisi 2020-22 & had a great time hiking the mountains, super cheap to live with rent a third of what it is now. I was considering going back however many of my expat friends have left because of the price increases & its not so attractive anymore as the infrastructure is poor & the cost is high.
Maybe once the war is over & the Russians return home rental prices drop & it once again becomes an attractive proposition. Thanks for making the video.

I was there for 3 months last summer and it was about the same price as Poland. Still inexpensive but not as much as before the war.
