As a college student, managing finances can often be a challenge. With tuition fees, textbooks, and living expenses to consider, every rupee counts. So when I found myself short on cash to pay my fees for the semester, I decided to get creative.

I had heard stories of people paying for services using only coins or smaller denominations, so I decided to give it a try. Armed with a bag full of ₹1 coins, I made my way to the college bursar’s office to settle my outstanding fees.

As I entered the office and explained my unconventional payment method to the staff, they were understandably surprised. However, they were also intrigued and decided to humor me. They began counting the coins one by one, stacking them up in neat piles. The process was slow and tedious, but eventually, the total amount due was reached.

To my surprise, the staff accepted my payment without any hesitation. They even commended me for thinking outside the box and finding a unique solution to my financial dilemma. As I left the office, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in my resourcefulness.

Paying my fees using only ₹1 coins may have been unconventional, but it taught me an important lesson about creativity and problem-solving. It showed me that there are always alternative ways to tackle challenges, even when the odds seem stacked against you.

While I wouldn’t recommend paying all your bills in coins, this experience has inspired me to think differently about how I approach financial obstacles in the future. And who knows, maybe next time I’ll find an even more creative way to make ends meet.
