Attended an Estate Sale and Flipped Items on eBay to Save for a House (Week 3)

Last weekend, I decided to venture out to an estate sale in my neighborhood in search of some hidden treasures that I could flip on eBay. As someone who is trying to save up enough money to buy a house, I have been on a mission to find unique and valuable items that I can resell online for a profit.

Upon arriving at the estate sale, I was immediately drawn to a collection of vintage furniture that was being sold at incredibly low prices. I picked out a mid-century modern coffee table and a set of retro dining chairs, both of which were in excellent condition. After negotiating with the seller, I was able to purchase the items for a total of $150, which I knew would be a steal once I listed them on eBay.

I also stumbled upon a box of old vinyl records that were priced at just $1 each. As a music enthusiast, I was excited to sift through the selection and ended up finding some rare and sought-after albums from iconic artists. I knew that these records would be a hot commodity among collectors, so I quickly added them to my shopping cart.

After spending a few hours at the estate sale, I headed home to start listing my finds on eBay. I snapped some high-quality photos of the furniture and vinyl records and wrote detailed descriptions highlighting their unique features and appeal. Within a few days, I started receiving bids and offers on both items, and I was thrilled to see the prices climbing steadily.

By the end of the week, I had sold the mid-century modern coffee table for $300 and the retro dining chairs for $250, giving me a profit of $200 after deducting the initial purchase cost. The vinyl records also sold quickly, with some albums fetching prices as high as $50 each. In total, I made $500 in profit from this week’s estate sale haul, bringing me one step closer to my goal of buying a house.

Flipping items on eBay has proven to be a lucrative side hustle for me, and I am constantly amazed by the potential to turn a small investment into a substantial profit. I look forward to continuing my treasure hunting adventures at estate sales and thrift stores in the weeks to come, all while building up my savings for a down payment on a new home. Who knew that buying and selling secondhand goods could be so rewarding?

Do you know a lot about these technolog7es? Do you test them all? I'm always afraid that stuff like that won't work well.

Hey man, really love your videos. Keep up the good work. I have a question though, how do you decide which things to buy? How do you find new things to buy? Things you haven't sold before for example. Cheers!

Good for you to be doing all this work! Be wary of buying in an HOA community (like condos and townhouses) as they often don’t allow renters and have limits on unrelated people living together. They can also have special assessments which can be a huge expense. A twin would probably be an ideal fit for you – live in one side and rent out the other with zero condo fees. Look for the run down house or the filthy one – as long as the structure is sound, cosmetic fixes are easy and most people can’t see past the filth. Good luck!
