We also really enjoyed the Selena co-working space while we were in Medellin just last year 2019 October. Amazing internet speed, staff was friendly… and it was just so hip! Meditation room, little phone booths, yoga class space… a most charming co-working space imo. And best of all it was no hassle at all to walk in and be accommodated.

I'm spending my first few months as a digital nomad starting on the 15th August and starting in Bali. I researched Medellin for quite a bit but I heard that Spanish was essential. Doesn't seem so essential in your videos. How have you found it?

I've lived in Medellin for 2 years. This video was basically, "We landed in the most touristy part of the entire city and never left it, except to do 2 official tourist things." I just watched a video about why expats hate digital nomads, and I'm beginning to understand more and more. I'm a digital nomad, too, sort of. Although I settled in Medellin for a long stretch. As soon as I saw "We're going to a penthouse party with other digital nomads in the most touristy, gringo neighborhood of the entire city, with well-dressed white people trying to impress with their luxury," I knew exactly what crowd this is. Everytime I've found myself with this type of crowd, I want to leave as soon as possible. Now I know that I should watch the rest of these videos with caution, because if this is the Medellin video, and I know Medellin, then who knows what skewed impression is being given of other cities. He could have at least googled Medellin enough to know that Laureles is the second-most luxurious neighborhood in Medellin, but much less touristy, and much more economical, and showed at least a minute of that neighborhood too
