Beginner’s Guide to Selling Books on Amazon FBA in 2023

If you love books and have always dreamt of turning your passion into a profitable business, selling books on Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a great way to get started. With millions of customers shopping for books on Amazon every day, there is a huge potential for individuals to make a living by selling books through this platform.

Here are some tips for beginners who want to start selling books on Amazon FBA in 2023:

1. Research the Market
Before you start selling books on Amazon, it is important to do thorough market research to understand which books are in demand. You can use tools such as Amazon Best Sellers, Google Trends, and other market research tools to identify popular book genres, authors, and specific titles that are currently trending. Understanding the market will help you make informed decisions about which books to source and sell.

2. Source Books
Once you have identified the books you want to sell, you need to source them. There are several ways to do this, including sourcing books from thrift stores, garage sales, library sales, and online marketplaces. You can also consider reaching out to publishers, wholesalers, and distributors to purchase books in bulk at a discounted price.

3. Set Up an Amazon Seller Account
To start selling on Amazon, you need to create a seller account. There are two types of seller accounts on Amazon: Individual and Professional. If you are just starting out, an Individual account is a good option as it has lower monthly fees. However, if you plan to sell more than 40 items per month, a Professional account may be more cost-effective.

4. Create Listings
Once your seller account is set up, you can start creating listings for the books you want to sell. When creating listings, include all relevant details such as the book title, author, ISBN, condition, and a detailed description. High-quality images of the book cover and interior pages are also important to attract potential buyers.

5. Utilize Amazon FBA
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service that allows sellers to store their inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers. When a customer places an order, Amazon picks, packs, and ships the item to the customer on your behalf. This can save you time and effort, especially if you are selling a large volume of books.

6. Optimize Your Product Listings
To increase the visibility of your listings and attract more customers, it is important to optimize your product listings. This includes using relevant keywords in your titles and descriptions, providing accurate information about the condition of the book, and offering competitive pricing.

7. Provide Excellent Customer Service
Customer satisfaction is key to success on Amazon. Make sure to respond to customer inquiries promptly, ship orders on time, and provide accurate and honest descriptions of the books you are selling. Positive feedback from satisfied customers can help boost your sales and reputation as a seller.

Selling books on Amazon FBA can be a lucrative and rewarding business for book lovers. By following these tips and staying proactive in your approach to selling, you can build a successful business selling books on Amazon in 2023. Good luck!

Do you ship these books to amazon right away or need to wait for when they want you to send the books? If you can buy several books and send them out right away that would be great

These videos make it look simple, however, it's not. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get this done and it's not easy. The Amazon Seller App doesn't scan most of the books properly and the wrong books come up on screen. When it is right, the profit is so low, you're better off doing it yourself.

I love competing against "experts" that rely only on bar codes. None of them know literature. I've had some great buys on vintage books without codes like Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged first printing. Paid $1. Sold $300.

What do you do when amazon is losing multiple books out of each shipment and to get reimbursed they are asking for invoices for proof of purchase of the books they lost? This has been happening a lot lately, for example they recently lost 15 out of 19 books that were all in the same box wtf. I buy books from thrift stores library sales etc and have no invoices, I'm interested in how you would handle this problem. Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer to obtain the invoices. What? Thank you Romer the Roamer for all your content and considering a response to my Question.

Hi, sorry to bother you again but I can’t really find any information on this issue. Whenever I try to get approval for a book, I try to request approval but it keeps saying unsupported action. I’ve tried with different books and none have been restricted. Do you know what’s wrong? I was trying to do it through the seller app by the way. I also tried your discord but no one has responded. Thanks
