If you love books and have always dreamt of turning your passion into a profitable business, selling books on Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a great way to get started. With millions of customers shopping for books on Amazon every day, there is a huge potential for individuals to make a living by selling books through this platform.
Here are some tips for beginners who want to start selling books on Amazon FBA in 2023:
1. Research the Market
Before you start selling books on Amazon, it is important to do thorough market research to understand which books are in demand. You can use tools such as Amazon Best Sellers, Google Trends, and other market research tools to identify popular book genres, authors, and specific titles that are currently trending. Understanding the market will help you make informed decisions about which books to source and sell.
2. Source Books
Once you have identified the books you want to sell, you need to source them. There are several ways to do this, including sourcing books from thrift stores, garage sales, library sales, and online marketplaces. You can also consider reaching out to publishers, wholesalers, and distributors to purchase books in bulk at a discounted price.
3. Set Up an Amazon Seller Account
To start selling on Amazon, you need to create a seller account. There are two types of seller accounts on Amazon: Individual and Professional. If you are just starting out, an Individual account is a good option as it has lower monthly fees. However, if you plan to sell more than 40 items per month, a Professional account may be more cost-effective.
4. Create Listings
Once your seller account is set up, you can start creating listings for the books you want to sell. When creating listings, include all relevant details such as the book title, author, ISBN, condition, and a detailed description. High-quality images of the book cover and interior pages are also important to attract potential buyers.
5. Utilize Amazon FBA
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service that allows sellers to store their inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers. When a customer places an order, Amazon picks, packs, and ships the item to the customer on your behalf. This can save you time and effort, especially if you are selling a large volume of books.
6. Optimize Your Product Listings
To increase the visibility of your listings and attract more customers, it is important to optimize your product listings. This includes using relevant keywords in your titles and descriptions, providing accurate information about the condition of the book, and offering competitive pricing.
7. Provide Excellent Customer Service
Customer satisfaction is key to success on Amazon. Make sure to respond to customer inquiries promptly, ship orders on time, and provide accurate and honest descriptions of the books you are selling. Positive feedback from satisfied customers can help boost your sales and reputation as a seller.
Selling books on Amazon FBA can be a lucrative and rewarding business for book lovers. By following these tips and staying proactive in your approach to selling, you can build a successful business selling books on Amazon in 2023. Good luck!

I’m getting errors on Amazon preventing me from printing labels. Is there any help you can provide? Also today it said the UPS carrier was not available. Please advise
Do you ship these books to amazon right away or need to wait for when they want you to send the books? If you can buy several books and send them out right away that would be great
What app is he using to scan?
You show around $723 in profit, but when you were in go2lister it shows less than $400. Im confused
These videos make it look simple, however, it's not. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get this done and it's not easy. The Amazon Seller App doesn't scan most of the books properly and the wrong books come up on screen. When it is right, the profit is so low, you're better off doing it yourself.
Damn man. How can my poor butt start humble, when your site is freaking $50 a month to use?
New seller account. Why am i not allowed to sell any books. I ask for approval and i get this message.. Unsupported action
Sorry, you took an action that we can't support. Please go back or go to the home page and take a different action.
So what do i do?
Thank you for your time
Hey romer. I still have the scanner you sent me when Steve was living with you. I just got a new laptop. Just finally after all these years downloaded the seller app. I'm about to purchase the stoutly app. Do I have to be ungated to sell used books? That's come up. I've got 4000 books I've bought over the last few years waiting to get my seller app started. Ebay kinda screwed me over so I gotta get this up and going man. I'm about move to Florida. Could use any advice. Blessings brotherman
Not many people making videos on books. They all progressed naturally out of the book market
amazing job my bro – love your dynamics
Is this the northeast? Looks like a used book heaven. I need to get a van and travel.
This was really helpful, thanks! Do you suggest creating an LLC and using a business email for selling the books on Amazon?
Im a bit confused, are you selling these to amazon and not direct to customer?
Can you use inventory labs instead of go to lister ?
I love competing against "experts" that rely only on bar codes. None of them know literature. I've had some great buys on vintage books without codes like Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged first printing. Paid $1. Sold $300.
See..thats what Im trying to get to…where you have your apps and other tools…but the rest is working it out in your head…
So all I need to do is sign up for an Amazon Sellers account and wait to get approved ?
Can you make this a career, though?
What do you do when amazon is losing multiple books out of each shipment and to get reimbursed they are asking for invoices for proof of purchase of the books they lost? This has been happening a lot lately, for example they recently lost 15 out of 19 books that were all in the same box wtf. I buy books from thrift stores library sales etc and have no invoices, I'm interested in how you would handle this problem. Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer to obtain the invoices. What? Thank you Romer the Roamer for all your content and considering a response to my Question.
What's up with the stalker there bro
What is the app for smart phone?
thank u
I watched a video about textbooks getting amazon accounts banned because they are counterfeit. Have you seen this happen alot?
What app are you using?
Thurston Books in Florida is dead. I’ve got a find another way.
Hi, sorry to bother you again but I can’t really find any information on this issue. Whenever I try to get approval for a book, I try to request approval but it keeps saying unsupported action. I’ve tried with different books and none have been restricted. Do you know what’s wrong? I was trying to do it through the seller app by the way. I also tried your discord but no one has responded. Thanks
So I’m setting up my Amazon account. Should I register for Amazon pay? Have you done it and do I need it for customers to pay? Thanks
I do have a question why do I need the 2×1 barcode labels?
Super helpful video. Didn't know about the resellers license, pretty sweet
Hello !

If you sell DVDs, do you use the same listing method with the same comment, listing the majority of them as good? Any other checks you do for DVDs?
What store is this ?
What kind of store am I supposed to search for? Thanks
it's crazy man, i started just about when you started. when you were traveling in your carolla with no passenger seat lol. i'm still doing books to this day and you literally taught me via youtube and the fb group. im doing well and at a point where im considering buying a sprinter, converting it to a camper and just travel the states while simultaneously buying/sending books. it's been like what, 5 years already? i remember getting after it back in 2018 i believe. best of luck man
