BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO SELLING ON AMAZON THROUGH RETAIL ARBITRAGE

Are you looking to make some extra money by selling products online? Amazon is a great platform for anyone looking to start a small business and engage in retail arbitrage. Retail arbitrage is the practice of buying products from retailers and then selling them for a higher price on platforms like Amazon.

If you’re a beginner looking to sell on Amazon through retail arbitrage, here are a few tips to help you get started:

1. Start with small investments: When starting with retail arbitrage on Amazon, it’s best to start with small investments. This will help you minimize your risk while you’re still learning the process. Look for products that are in demand but have a low competition to help you get started.

2. Research profitable products: Before you start buying products, it’s important to research what products are profitable on Amazon. Use tools like Jungle Scout or Helium 10 to help you identify products that are in demand and have a good profit margin. Look for products that have a high sales rank and low competition.

3. Find products at low prices: Once you have identified profitable products, the next step is to find them at low prices. Visit local retailers, clearance sales, and discount stores to find products at a lower price that you can resell at a higher price on Amazon.

4. Create an Amazon seller account: To start selling on Amazon, you’ll need to create a seller account. There are two types of seller accounts – individual and professional. An individual account is best for beginners with less than 40 items to sell, while a professional account is for those who plan on selling more than 40 items.

5. List and sell your products: Once you have your products, you can list them on Amazon. Make sure to provide accurate and detailed product descriptions, high-quality images, and competitive pricing to attract potential buyers. Be sure to also include the condition of the product and any other important information.

6. Fulfill your orders: Once your products start selling, you’ll need to fulfill the orders. You can choose to fulfill the orders yourself or use Amazon’s FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) service. With FBA, you ship your products to an Amazon fulfillment center, and they handle the storage, packing, and shipping of your products.

7. Grow your business: As you become more comfortable with the process, you can start to scale your business. Look for more profitable products, expand your inventory, and consider different sourcing methods like online wholesalers or dropshipping.

Selling on Amazon through retail arbitrage can be a great way to start a small business and make some extra money. With the right research and strategy, you can find success as a beginner seller on Amazon. Good luck!

My question is when you create a new account with obviously no reviews, why would someone shopping on amazon buy your specific product rather than someone with lots of reviews. I do this personally when shopping online, I look for the highest star rating and highest reviews.

Okay, so how does YOUR item get bought? If these items are already sold by the actual name brand…such as Adidas, Puma.

Thanks for another great Video Miles. My question to you is about shipping because I am an FBM seller. If I am offering free shipping would I put that under FBM cost under the default values on SellerAmp settings?
