Bigger Me

“Super Size Me” is a documentary film directed by Morgan Spurlock that explores the effects of fast food consumption on the human body. Released in 2004, the film follows Spurlock as he embarks on a 30-day experiment in which he only eats food from McDonald’s and must supersize his meals whenever offered. The film serves as a wake-up call about the dangers of a fast food diet and the impact it can have on overall health.

Throughout the course of the experiment, Spurlock experiences a dramatic deterioration in his physical and mental health. He gains weight, his cholesterol levels skyrocket, and he experiences mood swings and decreased energy levels. The film highlights the addictive nature of fast food and sheds light on the marketing strategies used by these companies to encourage overconsumption.

One of the most shocking moments in the film comes when Spurlock visits several doctors who are alarmed by the rapid decline in his health. They warn him of the serious risks associated with his diet, including the potential for heart disease, diabetes, and liver damage. This serves as a stark reminder of the long-term consequences of indulging in fast food on a regular basis.

“Super Size Me” sparked important discussions about the fast food industry and the need for greater awareness of the impact of our food choices on our health. It also prompted changes within the industry, including the elimination of supersized portions and the introduction of healthier menu options.

Overall, “Super Size Me” is a powerful and eye-opening documentary that serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of consuming fast food in excess. It encourages viewers to think critically about their dietary choices and to prioritize their health and well-being. The film remains relevant today as rates of obesity and related health issues continue to rise, serving as a reminder of the importance of making informed food choices for a healthier future.

I know that documentary is fueled by lies, it's still good entertainment however.

Just that it's also misleading as well with what Spurlock was doing, especially with his alcoholism being a factor on his liver for starters.
