Chat with Gonçalo Hall about the first “Digital Nomad Village” in Ponta do Sol, Madeira

The first “Digital Nomad Village” has recently been launched in Ponta do Sol, Madeira, offering a unique and exciting opportunity for remote workers to live and work in a stunning location. This new initiative aims to attract digital nomads from all over the world to come and experience the beauty and tranquility of the Portuguese island while continuing to work remotely.

To gain more insight into this innovative project, I had the opportunity to speak with Gonçalo Hall, the founder of the Digital Nomad Village. Gonçalo shared his vision for the village and how it aims to provide a supportive and inspiring community for digital nomads.

“We wanted to create an environment where people can come together, connect, and thrive as they continue to work remotely,” Gonçalo explained. “The village offers a range of facilities and amenities to support digital nomads, including co-working spaces, high-speed internet, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.”

One of the key attractions of the Digital Nomad Village is its breathtaking location in Ponta do Sol, a picturesque coastal town known for its natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere. With its stunning beaches, lush mountains, and pleasant climate, Madeira offers the perfect setting for remote workers seeking a change of scenery.

“We want to provide digital nomads with the opportunity to experience the unique lifestyle and culture of Madeira while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work,” Gonçalo said. “The village aims to foster a sense of community and belonging, allowing individuals to connect with like-minded people and make the most of their time on the island.”

In addition to providing a supportive environment for remote work, the Digital Nomad Village also offers a range of activities and experiences for residents to enjoy during their time in Madeira. From hiking and surfing to exploring the island’s rich history and vibrant local culture, there is no shortage of opportunities for adventure and relaxation.

“We want digital nomads to not only be productive in their work but also to experience the richness of life in Madeira,” Gonçalo emphasized. “The village aims to create a balance between work and leisure, allowing residents to make the most of their time on the island and create lasting memories.”

Overall, the launch of the first Digital Nomad Village in Ponta do Sol, Madeira represents an exciting new chapter for remote workers seeking a change of pace and a vibrant community. With its stunning location, supportive environment, and diverse range of experiences, the village offers an alluring destination for digital nomads from around the world.

As Gonçalo Hall and his team continue to develop and expand the Digital Nomad Village, it’s clear that this innovative project has the potential to redefine the way we think about remote work and travel. For anyone seeking a new and inspiring place to live and work, Madeira’s Digital Nomad Village may just be the perfect fit.

Very interesting vlog…. Now I get it…Bunch of communities borders free…no governments rules over them…Is this the key to happines!?I very much doubt it…In fact these communities recognize a leader from their own…. What about the "Animal Farm" story!?!? Step by step this leader is taking control of your mind…I reject that.
On the othef hand Michael & Lauza did not join this Digital Nomad community…Maybe they want to be free of any restrictions impose by being a member of something…That is why they are travelling by their own forward….right!?

Such an interesting interview. Visited Ponta do Sol Last time we were in Madeira, a lovely village. We are well retired so not thinking of starting up in business, but I was interested. to know what Digital Nomads were. As we find it difficult to find a really good coffee in the coffee shops, I wonder if you could tell me the name of the coffee shop that was mentioned on the youtube. The gentleman Michael was talking to said the name and I did'nt catch it, or where it was. Looks so lovely and sunny in Madeira, but cold and rainy here in England !!!! All the best Judie.

Hoping my husband's company will allow him to work remotely from Madeira instead of the US. They have gone to 100% remote due to the pandemic. Fingers crossed. It's funny he mentioned Las Palmas because we love it there too, but Spanish taxes are not favorable for our situation.

It was only the other day I stumbled upon something online about this Digital Nomad Village in Ponta do Sol, but couldn’t really see much info about it, so was pleasantly surprised to see you doing a video on the place. Very informative interview with Gonçalo, thank you for the upload.
