Digital nomads and actual nomads may sound like similar terms, but they are actually two very different lifestyles. While both involve a sense of wanderlust and a desire for freedom, there are some key differences between the two.
Digital nomads are individuals who have the freedom to work remotely from their laptops, often while traveling the world. They typically have jobs that allow them to work from anywhere with an internet connection, such as freelance writing, graphic design, or IT consulting. This gives them the ability to travel and work at the same time, making them a unique blend of traveler and professional.
On the other hand, actual nomads are people who have a more traditional nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place in search of resources and shelter. These nomads have been living this way for centuries, often herding livestock or hunting for food in different locations. While digital nomads choose to adopt a nomadic lifestyle for personal reasons, actual nomads often do so out of necessity.
When comparing the average digital nomad to the average actual nomad, there are some notable differences. One of the main distinctions is the type of work they do. Digital nomads tend to work in creative or knowledge-based industries, while actual nomads often work in agriculture or other manual labor fields. This means that digital nomads may have a higher level of education and skills, while actual nomads may have a deeper connection to the land and a more traditional way of life.
Another key difference is the way in which they travel. Digital nomads often travel for leisure and exploration, hopping from one exotic location to the next. They may stay in trendy co-working spaces or hostels, and take advantage of modern technology to stay connected with friends and family back home. Actual nomads, on the other hand, travel out of necessity, often following the seasons or searching for food and water. They may live in tents or yurts, and rely on traditional methods of communication and survival.
Overall, both digital nomads and actual nomads share a desire for freedom and a sense of adventure. While their lifestyles may be different, they both embody the spirit of exploration and possibility. Whether working remotely from a beach in Bali or herding sheep in Mongolia, nomads of all kinds inspire us to break free from the constraints of conventional living and embrace the unknown.

You talk about how great nomads are but type 'steppe' as 'step'
I hate the term Digital Nomad with a burning passion. Just say you're a (probably white) privileged person living in Global South country taking advantage of earning 10x the salary in the country you are gentrifying while doing 1/10th of the work of the average local. Funny how Conservative Western descriptions of 'illegal immigrants' actually fit Western digital nomads much better.
