They sound more like agents, the difference between management and agent reps, is that agent reps work on getting the client gigs and submit the clients for jobs, sponsorships and deals. While management carves out their career, doing production, is a lot, and management is a full-time job- so they are willing to do two full-time jobs for the client? He keeps saying CAA..CAA is an AGENCY that is very different from management. Lean on your strengths guys, lean on your gifts. Homeboy in the black jacket, is a negotiator he cant wait to do the deals, DEALS= AGENCY, so its more transactional than carving out people's careers- hit it and quit it, NEXT, if you are doing production that is a lot. The young kid seems like he likes the study of media, he likes the media trends and moves happening. As a CEO he can navigate the business development in media for the company, They should start with the Agency- build it and then take it from there.

Hi Gary – I would add that people just need to start looking how such a business will evolve without the social media platform business models that currently exist. Very true that 'the world's flipped'…industry simply cannot keep relying on dopamine-addiction/ algorithmic manipulation-based business models. Very true that 'the world's flipped.' rebuilt from a fundamentally stable, audience-first foundation. It's very smart of them to focus on the talent and management nexus – not putting all their eggs in the basket of the platforms themselves as media landscapes can quickly shift. Youtube was founded in 2005. Managing talent – which is, simply, to organize, find opportunities for, and grow fairly with people you believe in – that's a skill that will always be valuable, no matter the 'channel.' Knowing your central value proposition makes it easier to adapt if the rest of the floor ever drops away. So hold that center. Revisit this comment 20 years from now to let us know it all goes.

These kids need to check their attitudes. They’re constant talking over and interrupting the guy who’s already done what they wish will happen for them. Would not hire. Would not recommend.

I love Gary’s content but the facial expressions of this kid has got me seriously annoyed. This is the problem with my/ the younger generation, most of us don’t want to listen and are prepared to fight our point. It’s almost more about the argument than actually learning. These kids clearly need a lesson in etiquette before they start taking any “meetings”. Establishing a professional demeanor and mastering your emotions is first and foremost! You can ALWAYS learn. I don’t care how much money you come from or how much you think you know. The problem is these two are arguing with Gary and are not grateful for the opportunity that was right in front of them. I hope this does not push the gap between millennials and the older generations further apart even more than it already is. People like these kids are exactly the reason millennials are given a bad rap. I’ve never felt the need to comment but this is very frustrating to watch. The goal is to understand one another to propel further into this industry. Thank god for Gary being so incredibly patient with them! Smh
