In today’s digital age, making money by flipping items has become increasingly popular. With platforms like eBay and Facebook Marketplace, individuals are finding creative ways to turn a profit by selling items they no longer need. In the latest episode of “What Sold,” the host shares how they made an impressive $1,343 in just one week by flipping items on these online marketplaces.
The episode begins with the host sharing their excitement about their recent success, outlining the key items that contributed to their impressive earnings. Throughout the episode, the host provides detailed information about each item and how they managed to secure a great deal.
One of the items that caught viewers’ attention was a vintage leather jacket. The host explains how they stumbled upon this gem at a local thrift store for a mere $20. With a bit of research, they discovered that similar jackets were selling for over $200 online. After listing the item on eBay, they received multiple offers and eventually sold it for a whopping $250. This impressive profit margin clearly demonstrates the potential for flipping items on online marketplaces.
Another interesting flip highlighted in the episode was a rare collectible toy. The host mentions how they often scout local garage sales and flea markets for unique items that could potentially yield a high profit. In this case, they stumbled upon a limited edition action figure that was no longer in production. With some negotiation skills, they managed to purchase it for $30, only to later sell it for an impressive $150 on Facebook Marketplace. It’s clear that being knowledgeable about the value and demand for certain items can lead to significant profits.
In addition to sharing the success stories, the host also takes the time to discuss the potential pitfalls of flipping. They caution viewers about potential risks and scams, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly researching each item before making a purchase. By understanding the market value and verifying the authenticity of items, flippers can ensure they are making a sound investment.
The episode also offers valuable insights into the strategies the host employs to boost their sales. They discuss the importance of well-written product descriptions, high-quality photos, and effective pricing strategies. They also share their experiences with negotiating prices and dealing with difficult customers, providing valuable tips for those starting out in the flipping business.

Hey Matt! I've been doing some research on how to sasve money when posting dvd's/games around Australia. Have you considered using a Medium C5 Envelope with bubble wrap (https://auspost.com.au/shop/product/medium-c5-prepaid-envelope-up-to-500g-pack-of-10-42016)? Works out to be $2.70 Australia wide, however has no tracking. Hopefully I am able to reduce your postage costs by half!
Great advice Matt. TMax is an awesome retail playground. Keep up the great work.
