eBay’s High INADs Could Cost Me: Seller Concerns #ebay #ebayseller #sellingonebay #resellingtips

eBay, one of the world’s largest online marketplaces, is known for providing a platform for individuals and businesses to buy and sell a wide range of products. However, some sellers on eBay are now facing a new challenge – being charged for having a high rate of items not as described (INADs).

In recent years, eBay has been cracking down on sellers who consistently receive negative feedback for items not being as described. The company believes that this impacts buyer confidence and overall trust in the platform. As a result, eBay has implemented a new policy where sellers will be charged for having a high rate of INADs.

This new policy has sparked controversy among many eBay sellers who feel that they are being unfairly penalized for the actions of a few bad actors. Some sellers argue that it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk of receiving negative feedback for items not being as described, as there will always be instances where a buyer’s expectations do not align with the actual product.

Additionally, some sellers have expressed frustration with eBay’s policy, as they believe that it puts too much emphasis on protecting buyers and not enough on supporting sellers. Many sellers rely on eBay as their primary source of income, and being charged for having a high rate of INADs can significantly impact their bottom line.

Despite the backlash from some sellers, eBay stands by its decision to charge sellers for high rates of INADs. The company believes that this policy is necessary to maintain the integrity of the platform and ensure a positive experience for both buyers and sellers.

For sellers who are concerned about being charged for having a high rate of INADs, there are steps that can be taken to mitigate the risk. Providing thorough and accurate descriptions of products, including detailed photos, and being responsive to buyer inquiries can help prevent misunderstandings and reduce the likelihood of receiving negative feedback.

In conclusion, eBay’s new policy of charging sellers for having a high rate of INADs has sparked debate within the online selling community. While some sellers feel unfairly targeted, eBay believes that this policy is necessary to protect buyer confidence and maintain trust in the platform. Sellers who are concerned about being charged for INADs can take proactive measures to reduce the risk and ensure a positive selling experience on eBay.

You can literally click on item not described, And send back the item you changed your mind on. It's nothing but preset reasons. Ebays ironclad refund policy even over rides scam returns. You don't even have to send back the correct item. Buyer and seller get their money back in most cases. Also there is a section to remove those inads by request.

Yup, nobody believed me when I commented endlessly about this last year. A buyer can message you that they lied about their INAD claim, and you can show eBay that message and they still WON'T remove the INAD. Ebay says that all INADs are permanent even if you appeal the false INAD and win the case!! 80% of my INADs are false. Ebay must make millions of dollars extra off this arbitrary 5% fee.

Buyers abuse INAD to return items. If ebay punishes me for that I will move platforms.

I wouldn't worry about it Ed. You have talked me thorough a couple of times when i have had a couple rough weeks so its my turn. You decreased your volume so your scammers are showing more prevalent. Look at your process and IF it is something you did adjust otherwise just grind.
