Finding Profitable Products for Amazon FBA in Australia and Newer Marketplaces: A 2022 Guide

Amazon FBA, or Fulfillment by Amazon, has revolutionized the way people sell products online. With Amazon handling the shipping, customer service, and returns, sellers can focus on sourcing and marketing profitable products. However, finding those profitable products can be a challenge, especially in newer marketplaces like Amazon Australia. In this article, we will explore some strategies for finding profitable products to sell on Amazon Australia (and other newer marketplaces) in 2022.

1. Research Popular Categories

One of the first steps in finding profitable products to sell on Amazon Australia is to research popular categories. Look for products that are trending or have a high demand. You can use tools like Jungle Scout or Helium 10 to analyze sales data and identify products with high sales potential.

2. Check Competition

Once you have identified a few potential products, it’s important to check the competition. Look at how many sellers are already offering the same or similar products on Amazon Australia. If the market is saturated, it may be difficult to break into that niche. On the other hand, if there is low competition, you may have a better chance of success.

3. Consider Seasonality

Another factor to consider when finding profitable products is seasonality. Some products may only sell well during certain times of the year, while others have consistent demand year-round. Make sure to research the seasonality of the products you are considering to avoid investing in products that will sit on the shelves for months.

4. Look for Unique Products

To stand out from the competition, consider selling unique products that are not readily available on Amazon Australia. This could be a product with a unique design, feature, or packaging. By offering something different, you can attract customers who are looking for something new and different.

5. Focus on Profit Margins

In addition to sales potential, it’s crucial to consider profit margins when choosing products to sell on Amazon Australia. Look for products with a high selling price and low production or sourcing costs. This will ensure that you make a healthy profit on each sale.

6. Test Your Products

Before investing in a large quantity of inventory, consider testing your products first. You can start by selling a small batch of products to gauge customer interest and demand. This will help you avoid investing in products that may not sell well on Amazon Australia.

In conclusion, finding profitable products to sell on Amazon Australia (and other newer marketplaces) in 2022 requires thorough research and analysis. By researching popular categories, checking competition, considering seasonality, looking for unique products, focusing on profit margins, and testing your products, you can increase your chances of success as an Amazon FBA seller. Good luck!

Certainly! If I reside in New Zealand, am I able to create an Amazon Australia account using my New Zealand driver's license and address? Additionally, could you explain how the processes of Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) and Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) work? I appreciate your assistance.

Hi Hogan i am just starting and i have been told that you cannot get a storefront without a trademark. Also, i have been told you cannot get a storefront name without having a trademark and a brand name registry. Is there a way to get your trademark faster rather than waiting for months. sorry all the questions just keen to get started.

My opinion or assumption has always been that we simply don't have the competition, or population to support the same kind of diversity that Amazon has in US and Europe, We only have 25 Mill peeps so our products just aren't bulk purchased by the shipping containter load the same way they do in US, I'm really curious to see how they grow tho, but they have such a strict customer service quality as a seller!

It seems like Helium 10 can be used for the Amazon AU market now, but why don’t you use it for the AU market? Which one is better to be used in AU market?
