Getting Started with Amazon FBA: A Guide on Preparing Clothing for FBA

Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a popular way for individuals to sell their products online without having to worry about storing, packing, and shipping those products themselves. With Amazon FBA, you can send your products directly to Amazon’s warehouse, and they will take care of the rest.

If you are looking to sell clothing on Amazon FBA, there are a few things you need to know about prepping your items before sending them off to the warehouse. Here are some tips for beginners on how to prep clothing for FBA:

1. Clean and inspect your items: Before sending your clothing items to Amazon’s warehouse, make sure they are clean and free of any stains, tears, or odors. Inspect each item carefully to ensure that it meets Amazon’s quality standards.

2. Remove any tags or labels: Amazon requires that all clothing items sent to their warehouse have their tags and labels removed. This includes any price tags, size tags, or brand labels. Make sure to carefully remove these before sending off your items.

3. Fold and package your items neatly: When sending clothing items to Amazon FBA, it is important to fold them neatly and package them in a way that will prevent them from getting wrinkled or damaged during transit. Consider using clear poly bags or plastic garment bags to protect your items.

4. Label your items correctly: Amazon requires that all FBA items have proper labeling, including a unique product barcode. Make sure to label each item correctly before sending it off to the warehouse.

5. Create a detailed listing: When listing your clothing items on Amazon, make sure to provide detailed descriptions, measurements, and high-quality photos. This will help potential customers find your items and make informed purchasing decisions.

I have heard you should put a blank sticker over the manufactures UPC tag, and then a sticker on the outside of the poly bag so Amazon doesn't accidentally scan the UPC. What are your thoughts on that?

I'm wondering about the GTIN or UPC that came with the hoodies I bought. I took off the price of course but do I need to cover those UPC codes with a FNSKU or can I leave them tag up in the polybag then put the FNSKU out on the polybag? hoping you respond thanks

I just saw a video that says that selling clothes is one of the worst businesses on Amazon due the return rate. Is it right?

Thought you’re supposed to cover the UPC with an FNSKU label or hide it so Amazon doesn’t mistakenly scan it…

You're supposed to cover all barcodes…
And you're leaving the Ross sticker on there?
I don't think you did this 100% by the book…
