It is not uncommon to stumble upon unique and valuable items at thrift stores. Many people have shared their stories of finding rare collectibles, designer clothing, or antique furniture for a fraction of their market value. These moments of discovery bring immense joy to shoppers who appreciate the thrill of the hunt and the possibility of uncovering something extraordinary.

However, the recent surprise at Goodwill took this excitement to a whole new level. A seemingly ordinary item was given an unbelievably low price tag, causing a frenzy among patrons. I sold a Ninja Turtle playset. Only way to make any money if it though was to partially disassemble it to cut down on shipping cost. Then I went through the trouble of documenting how to reassemble it for them. Way more trouble than it is worth so I won't be picking anything up like that again unless there's a larger profit involved.

The first one you picked up was just a standard bulbing hammer. The second one was an auto body hammer. Looks like you got some metal working hammers too

I've made decent money selling both modern and vintage Melamine dishes. I always check them when I'm out and about thrifting.

Good for you on the clock! I found a Seiko one like that with Beatles songs. New without the box at a Goodwill 2 years ago and got $235 for it, I paid $35.

Soak cast iron in vinegar and distilled water for 24 hours. Take a potato cut in half and salt to scrub it clean

Used Vero strikes are ridiculous. Imagine Ford or Chevy saying, yeah you can't sell your used car that you own.

Goodwill in the desert are nothing anymore as far as I can tell. My Swan song there a year or so ago was finding about 14 pieces of Mackenzie Childs pottery that somehow slipped by. Since then you can tell they must be shipping better stuff away. I don’t bother going anymore. They have successfully weaned me! Ha
