If one works for a US or other foreign company that does not have a presence in Ecuador, and then becomes a permanent resident or citizen, does that income become taxable?

Thanks for this useful video. I would like to know if there is an minimum amount of time to spend in Ecuador for this visa. With my job, I have to travel quite a lot, but would like to have Ecuador as my main residence when I don't travel, thus this nomad visa. Thanks!

This is absolute nonsense. We are trying to do this, but they want apostilled contracts from employers and clients. Only official documents can be apostilled.

Do you get a proper Ecuador residency? So you can travel all over South America with the residency?
