Make $100 PROFIT A Day On eBay: How to Make Money on eBay

eBay is a popular online marketplace where millions of buyers and sellers come together to trade items ranging from everyday commodities to rare collectibles. While some people use eBay as a platform to earn extra cash, others have turned it into a full-time business, making substantial profits on a daily basis. If you’re interested in learning how to make money on eBay and potentially earn $100 profit a day, this article will guide you through the process.

1. Research Popular Items: The key to success on eBay starts with identifying items that are in high demand. Conduct thorough research using eBay’s Advanced Search feature, which allows you to view completed listings and sort them based on the final selling price. Look for items that consistently sell well and at a price that provides a decent profit margin.

2. Sourcing Products: Once you’ve identified what items to sell, you need to find a reliable source for them. You can either purchase wholesale goods directly from manufacturers or distributors or look for items locally, such as thrift stores, garage sales, or clearance sales. Ensure that the items you source are in good condition and meet the expectations of potential buyers.

3. Competitive Pricing: To stand out among other sellers, it’s essential to price your items competitively. Conduct market research to determine the average selling price for similar items and set your price accordingly. Remember to factor in all expenses, such as shipping costs, eBay fees, packaging materials, and your desired profit margin.

4. Exceptional Product Listings: eBay listings with detailed and accurate descriptions, high-quality images, and transparent shipping and return policies tend to attract more buyers. Provide as much information about the item as possible and include multiple clear photos from different angles. Be honest about any flaws or imperfections to maintain a good reputation with buyers.

5. Efficient Shipping: Fast and reliable shipping is crucial for a positive buying experience. Set realistic processing times and use a shipping method that ensures timely delivery. Offer tracking numbers for all shipments, as it instills confidence in buyers and provides you with proof of delivery.

6. Excellent Customer Service: Respond to buyer inquiries promptly and professionally. Address any concerns or issues promptly and strive to offer excellent customer service throughout the buying process. Positive reviews and high seller ratings enhance your reputation and make potential buyers more likely to purchase from you.

7. Continuous Improvement: As you gain experience and receive feedback, use it as an opportunity to continuously improve your selling strategies. Analyze your sales data, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance your profitability. Stay up-to-date with market trends and adjust your inventory accordingly.

8. Expand to Niche Markets: Consider exploring niche markets with less competition and higher profit margins. By specializing in specific product categories, you can establish yourself as an expert and attract a dedicated customer base.

Remember, making $100 profit a day on eBay requires consistency, effort, and research. It may take time to establish yourself and build a steady income stream, but with dedication and the implementation of effective strategies, it’s possible to achieve your financial goals on eBay.

So glad I found your channel! I'm starting up selling on eBay again after many years away from it. I'm wondering how you get 10% fees? Is that if you pay for a store? I've made a ton of sales in my first week back but the 20%+ fees are killing me!!

Does Deseret have an overnight restocking crew? I usually arrive to thrift stores an hour or 2 after they open. Most thrift stores restock all day. Those people in line think they are the early bird. Most likely not the case. Garage sales and estate sales are the early bird you'd need to worry about.

Do you have advice for keeping track of all the numbers that you wrote out on the white board or does the seller hub help with that? My son and I are just starting and the organization of the numbers is one area that I really don’t know much about. Thank you for your help!

Hey Jake, I really enjoy your channel and the videos that you share. I sell a little of everything with an emphasis on vintage electronics and sometimes a modern component as well. I like to make a video of the electronics I sell so that people can see the item working, or to show any issues, like I sold a Marantz cassette deck as not working and made a video to show anyone who knew how to fix it what the issue was. I have gotten pretty good at making a quick one minute video in one take. There is time in uploading and such, however I feel like this might help set me apart as I don't see many sellers doing this. My question is, when you sell a VCR or DVD or car stereo deck, do you always test them, how do you test a car deck, do you ever make videos showing items working? Thanks again! Erik

So, if I understand this correctly, if I want to sell 10 items per day with a 1% sell through rate, I have to source 1000 items to begin with. For example, if I'm brand new to selling and my store has no items yet, I have to get to 1000 items before I sell 10 at 1% rate. Then, the next day, I have 990 items left so I only have to source 10 to get back up to 1000 and sell another 10. On average.

When I send offers on my ebay items, it seems I can't go into that listing and edit it at all until the offer time expires.
That makes sense but in some of my listings, for certain reasons, I don't want to be unable to edit them.
    Just a bit of info.
Am I correct about the temp lock on editing when offers are sent?
    You're doing great!
    Thank you b

Great summary video! One video you may wish to make is how to make $50 profit (before taxes) each. The reason I suggest this is that it is easier to obtain for those juggling work and life and will give $1500 profit a month system (before tax) which covers most people basic utilities, and gas expenses. This is motivating for people as it is an easier goal with clear benefits. That system can then be scaled when possible. Anyway, just a thought.
