I Achieved 0k in Monthly Sales on eBay at the Age of 25

At 25 years old, I found myself immersed in a world that many could only dream of – earning a staggering $100,000 per month on eBay. It was an extraordinary journey that began with a humble passion for entrepreneurship and an insatiable drive for success.

My foray into the world of eBay wasn’t a premeditated plan or a well-thought-out strategy; it was more of a serendipitous discovery. I had always been captivated by the potential of online commerce, and eBay provided the perfect platform for me to explore my entrepreneurial aspirations.

It all started with a simple idea. I realized that I could use eBay to resell products at a higher price, leveraging the power of supply and demand. Armed with determination, I began scouring thrift stores, garage sales, and online marketplaces, searching for undervalued items that I could sell for a profit.

At first, my venture was a modest side hustle. I would spend countless hours researching market trends, identifying profitable niches, and meticulously curating a selection of quality products. In my spare time, I would photograph the items, write compelling descriptions, and create eye-catching listings on eBay. Every step of the process required attention to detail and a keen eye for what buyers were looking for.

To my surprise, my endeavors yielded great success. The money started pouring in, and before I knew it, my side hustle had transformed into a full-fledged business. The key to my success was not just luck or happenstance; it was a combination of relentless hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to fulfilling customers’ needs.

I quickly realized that building a solid reputation was crucial in maintaining a steady flow of sales. I made it my mission to provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues swiftly, and always delivering products on time. Word spread, and positive feedback began to accumulate, further establishing my credibility as a trusted eBay seller.

As my business continued to thrive, I recognized the need for scalability. I began outsourcing certain aspects of the operation, such as product sourcing and order fulfillment, allowing me to focus on expanding my reach and diversifying my inventory. With strategic marketing campaigns and a rigorous analysis of market trends, I cultivated a loyal customer base while attracting new buyers from various corners of the globe.

The journey was not without challenges, of course. eBay is a highly competitive marketplace, and staying ahead required constant innovation and adaptability. I had to stay informed about evolving consumer preferences, take calculated risks, and consistently optimize my listings to maximize visibility. Moreover, the business landscape on eBay was constantly changing, necessitating flexibility and resilience to overcome the occasional obstacles that came my way.

As I reflect on my journey, I am immensely grateful for the opportunities that eBay provided me at such a young age. It taught me valuable life skills, from financial management to negotiation, and instilled in me a relentless work ethic. But beyond the monetary gains, the experience empowered me to step out of my comfort zone, push the boundaries of what seemed possible, and embrace the unknown.

Today, I stand both grateful and proud. At 25 years old, I achieved what many consider to be the pinnacle of success in online commerce. However, I know that success is not a destination but an ongoing pursuit. My eBay journey has laid a strong foundation for future endeavors, inspiring me to continue exploring new horizons, embracing the ever-changing digital landscape, and seizing opportunities that come my way.

And what did you make from that 100k a month revenue? $100? LOL! Nobody cares about gross profit. Net profit on the other hand is everything

100k a month. What was the NET? I'm sure after taxes, fees, cost of goods, ads, etc it would be about 60% of that number. I am not knocking it, if I had a store hitting 20-40k a month NET that would rock, I just can't ignore finances as that's my thing.

100k revenue/15% margin/$15,000 a month. He said he rents a 6500 sqft warehouse. Let’s be conservative and say he pays $4,000 for that a month with all expenses. $11,000 a month. Who’s shipping everything? Let’s say he only has one employee who he pays $3,000 a month to, he’s left with $8,000.

Now subtract taxes, and accounting fees. 30%. $5,600 profit a month, $67,200 a year. All the liability and risk from 1.2 million a year for only $67,000. Lol.

I turn and flip maybe 10 items a month and average maybe $350, realistically, most of which is profit. I wish I could do more but they limit me at 250 free listings. It gets eaten up fast because of the relisting of the same item after 7 days. Any tips?

So 100k per month… every month?… first screenshot was nearly 100k for 4500 units shipped, second screenshot shows the 4500 units was in December, when I was doing eBay, my sales jumped 15 fold just before Christmas… just saying.

$100,000 in sales is probably less than a regular full time job when you take into consideration the profits you made from the revenue lol.
