Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a popular service for sellers looking to streamline their shipping and customer service operations. However, many sellers have experienced issues with inaccurate fees being charged by Amazon, leading to frustration and financial loss. In this article, we will discuss the wrong Amazon FBA fees and provide solutions on how to fix them.
One of the most common problems that sellers encounter is overcharged fulfillment fees. This can occur when Amazon incorrectly weighs or measures a product, leading to higher fees than what should be charged. In some cases, sellers have even reported being charged for products that were never received at the fulfillment center. These errors can result in significant financial losses for sellers, and it is crucial to address them as soon as possible.
Another issue that sellers may encounter is storage fees being charged for inventory that has been incorrectly marked as unfulfillable. This can occur due to Amazon’s inventory management system misclassifying products, leading to unnecessary fees being charged. Additionally, excessive long-term storage fees can accumulate if inventory is not properly managed, leading to further financial strain for sellers.
So, how can these wrong Amazon FBA fees be fixed?
The first step is to carefully review all fee statements and identify any discrepancies. Sellers should regularly audit their FBA fees to ensure that they are being accurately charged for the services provided by Amazon. If any incorrect charges are identified, sellers should contact Amazon Seller Support to raise the issue and request a refund for any overcharged fees.
It is also essential for sellers to ensure that their inventory is accurately labeled and categorized within Amazon’s system. By regularly monitoring inventory levels and addressing any issues with unfulfillable or damaged products, sellers can prevent unnecessary fees from being charged.
Furthermore, sellers should consider investing in third-party inventory management software to help track and manage their FBA fees more efficiently. These tools can provide valuable insights into fee structures and help identify any discrepancies that may arise.
In conclusion, wrong Amazon FBA fees can be a significant burden for sellers, leading to financial loss and frustration. However, by carefully monitoring fee statements, addressing inventory discrepancies, and utilizing third-party inventory management tools, sellers can effectively fix these issues and ensure that they are only being charged for the services they have received. By taking proactive measures to address wrong Amazon FBA fees, sellers can better manage their finances and maximize their profitability on the platform.

It was about package dimensions for me, thx buddy!
This was helpful and thank you for explaining this so clearly! I just sent my first FBA shipment. It was a box with 40 books. My FBA estimate is currently the size and weight of the box, not each individual book. Will Amazon correct this you think when they receive the shipment?
Thank you again for this info. My product is small but listed as large standard size. I just submitted my request for remeasure. You rock, Crescent!
I just started amazon FBA they went to take out my $39.95 Fee to start it was declined because my money did not hit my card yet it did now! I emailed them and tried to hook up a diff card. What should I do I have plenty of inventory and can't sell because of payment any suggestions? Thanks
Hi- my order shipped already and the label was created but had to change the dimensions and weight of the box being sent to Amazon. I was able to edit it on my Amazon profile. Will I have a problem when Amazon receives the box?
If you posted the listing wrong can you close the listing and redo it?
Your video is really helpful. Thanks alot!
Nice vid, but i have been waiting 70 days to amazon update the package dimensions and fees.
i made the package much smaller and the fees are supposed to be $5 less, I've checked it.
but nothing, amazing just providing incorrect details
Thank you so much
Amazon's "Dimensional weight" is usually the culprit here. Dimensional weight can put your light but long product into a different weight tier and FBA fee. It's so arbitrary and evil by Amazon. Pure greed.
Hi. I just got signed up, and haven't even made a listing yet. I don't want to sell globally, but I have Amazon Austrailia trying to charge my card for 46.00.. Also when I open my seller page it show my total balance as 113.46, but customer service says they don't see it. I'm really confused. Please advise. thank you!
You are Love Man.

Hi! amazon is charging me different monthly fee instead of 39.99. Sometimes it’s 40 something sometimes 50 something, I am selling outside of US, how do I fix so I am charged 39.99 only? not using ppc either, also is if possible to get amazon to refund me the extra charges on my account or how would that work. Help! Thank you!
Hi! My issue is with Amazon FBA fee. I have a product in two variant which are totally same, they have only different colors. So dimensions and weight are same, but Amazon one of them assigned to small oversize instead of large standart size. Because of that I have to pay 4$ extra per unit and it really hurts my profit. I have sold this product before and fees are about 10$, then I opened a case because they were still larger than I measured at home, so I wanted from them to re-measure my products. After that on the contrary they increased my fees in one variant to 14 USD. I requested for re-measure my product, I received the answer to my case where were correct dimensions but nothing has changed in the inventory. I still have the wrong fee. I tried many times open a case call to amazon to solve this problem, but they send me only copy paste emails. I do not know what to do. I am thinking about removing the listing and creating a new one, but probably I will lose my reviews:( really bad situation, please help
i am doing fba its been a week and amazon is charging more fee than shown on product when you list they showed 4pounds and charged me 9 on sale. can anyone assist
???
For replenishment orders, will Amazon measure the new units that enter their fulfillment center? My first shipment had items that were measured by Amazon at 4" x 5" x 0.78" and above depending on which sample they used. My products are in polybags so the height can easily expand. Since the height is above 0.75 inches, Amazon charged me for the "large standard" price. For my replenishment orders, I made sure that all units remain below 0.75. Will Amazon go off the old measurements or will they update the system to reflect my new units?
Thanks for this video. What happens if we have put in the wrong weight, and Amazon have therefore been charging the wrong weight / fee for a year. Can we claim it back or will they say it’s our fault ?
I noticed the shipping information on one of my product that I fulfilled by merchant is not matching with Amazon listing, weight and package size. Will Amazon honor the shipping cost if I do FBA based on the existing listing of the Asin when we using their calculator or they will adjust when actual product being shipped at present time?
Crescent, I have a product that has a bigger packaging than necessary to hold the products, so I asked the manufacturer to adjust the box size for future shipments. The question is when is a good time to contact Amazon to remeasure my product? We're talking about 1/8th of an inch box size difference, but it would save me $0.63 in FBA fees. Do I wait a few months after my new packaging arrives to contact Amazon? I contacted support multiple times and they said they didn't have an answer for me! If Amazon uses a first-in-first-out inventory system, then I would know when a good time would be to contact Amazon. As always, thanks for your help! You're awesome!!!!!!
Love these new videos! Very helpful!
Hello crescent,I have a question please..I opened a professional seller account but 47.99usd was deducted from my account instead of 39.99usd and I haven't started selling yet.so I messaged the seller support and they replied that they charge me 8usd for tax.
So I want to ask if this is normal
Hey Crescent, Do you use amazon audit program that get money owed from amazon? any suggestions?
Thanks a lot! Checked everything, and all seems fine, lucky me! Great content!
Great video. One of the few fba channels still posting good content. Maybe a video on usa suppliers as China is coming up on there holiday.
Hi Crescent! Good to see you back. I have a question not related to this video. I've noticed lately, I've seen a couple of listings on Amazon with 2 videos showing. I thought you could only have one video. How do you do that?
Good information thanks for sharing.
