Is Alabama Football Close to Changing Quarterback Keelon Russell’s Commitment? Plus, More Countdown Updates!

Could Alabama football be on the verge of flipping QB Keelon Russell?

After a strong start to the college football season, the Alabama Crimson Tide are beginning to turn heads with their impressive play on the field. One player in particular that has caught the attention of fans and analysts alike is quarterback Keelon Russell.

Russell, a highly touted recruit out of Louisiana, committed to the LSU Tigers earlier in the year. However, recent reports have indicated that he might be reconsidering his decision and could be on the verge of flipping to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide have a history of success when it comes to recruiting top talent, and it’s no surprise that they would be interested in a player of Russell’s caliber. Known for his strong arm and ability to make plays with his legs, Russell could be a valuable addition to Alabama’s already stacked roster.

If Russell does indeed flip to Alabama, it would be a major coup for head coach Nick Saban and his staff. Not only would it strengthen the team’s quarterback depth, but it would also send a message to the rest of the college football world that Alabama is still a force to be reckoned with.

In addition to the potential addition of Russell, the Crimson Tide are also gearing up for a highly anticipated matchup against the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. With both teams ranked in the top 10, this game has the potential to have major playoff implications and could determine the SEC champion.

As the season winds down, it’s clear that Alabama football is in a prime position to make a run at the national championship. With a talented roster, a proven coaching staff, and the potential addition of a player like Keelon Russell, the Crimson Tide are poised for success now and in the future.

Kelly Lebrock!! That’s hilarious! I used to party with Kelly after her divorce from Siegel in Aspen (mutual friends not dating). She was a very sweet and non pretentious woman…. Hope she is well!

Bama lost to Stetson because they quit. You could see it in their body language. No intensity beyond the 5th inning in the final game.

Everything I've watched today has had disagreements between 2 individuals lol. I don't think Austin Mack comes to Alabama with Kalen DeBoer just to leave because of competition. The dude is a specimen of a human being! And has a massive upside to his growth and strength. Kalen DeBoer didn't ask the dude to take this trip to Tuscaloosa only to be a year down the road and say "Not gonna make it here. Ty Simpson is better than me, Lonergan is better than me. So I think I'll go some place else."
Coming to the University of Alabama to play football, is about competition, and having to compete against the best of the best. That's what makes champions, and that's why Alabama has the type of trophy cases they have. If you came to Bama thinking that just because you were class 7A region 8 PoY, broke all kinds of state records, have NIL deals out this world, with private jets, Lamborghini's, Hummers, n all that stuff, that you're gonna be #1 QB come time to release the depth chart. Jalen Milroe is likely going to start because he's competed, he's worked hard and earned that position on the team. And I believe without a doubt that Austin Mack will work hard and compete, to earn that top quarterback spot on the roster for 2025. I could be wrong about this, but I think like Jimmy here. Mack will be the started one day for this program. And speaking of Julian Sayin, Caleb Downs, any of those who took the money for the easy road. I hope Alabama makes the playoff and there sits the Ohio State Buttflies. It would satisfy me so much to put a thumping on their path to a title. This is Alabama's domain!

I'm glad you mentioned Dylan Lonergan along with Ty Simpson. All Lonergan has done is everything he's been asked as a young QB. And if his future isn't with Alabama, he's going to be a big asset to someone else.

I'd rather see mack go and lonergan stay. They're both sophomores, and lonergan looks twice the qb.
