Is Dropshipping Permissible in Islam? – DR ZAKIR NAIK

Dropshipping is a business model that has gained popularity in recent years, especially with the rise of e-commerce. It involves a seller promoting and selling products without holding any inventory. Instead, when a customer purchases a product, the seller purchases the item from a third-party supplier, who then ships the product directly to the customer.

The question of whether dropshipping is halal or haram, from an Islamic perspective, has been a topic of debate among Muslims. Some argue that dropshipping is a form of trade that is permissible in Islam, while others believe it may involve elements of riba (usury) and gharar (uncertainty), which are prohibited in Islamic finance.

Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar, has spoken on the topic of dropshipping and provided his perspective on whether it is halal or haram. According to Dr. Naik, the permissibility of dropshipping in Islam depends on the specific details of the business arrangement.

In a video on the topic, Dr. Naik explains that if the dropshipping business is conducted in a transparent and fair manner, without involving any haram elements such as interest or deception, then it may be considered halal. He emphasizes the importance of honesty and integrity in conducting business, as these principles are fundamental in Islamic commerce.

Dr. Naik further stresses the need for clarity in transactions and ensuring that all parties involved are aware of the terms and conditions. This is important in avoiding gharar, which is the element of uncertainty or ambiguity in a contract that is prohibited in Islam.

Additionally, Dr. Naik advises Muslims engaged in dropshipping to be cautious and diligent in their business practices, ensuring that the products being sold are permissible in Islam and do not contradict Islamic principles.

It is important to note that Islamic scholars may have differing opinions on the permissibility of dropshipping, and it is advisable for individuals to seek guidance from a knowledgeable scholar or Islamic finance expert in matters of halal and haram.

In conclusion, the permissibility of dropshipping in Islam is contingent upon the specific details of the business arrangement and the adherence to Islamic principles of fairness, transparency, and avoiding haram elements. As with any business activity, it is crucial for Muslims engaged in dropshipping to conduct their business in accordance with the teachings of Islam and seek guidance from qualified Islamic scholars.

What i get from the video
    – normal way of dropshipping haram
    – person has product, and can testify product permissible.
    – If you provide all full detail of product and delivery, can be permissible
    – Dont need to have each physical product to deliver my self. Can use an agent to appoint manufacture and then deliver to customer

(I'm not a scholar, I'm just a 21 yrs old entrepreneur. And this is my personal notion and the point of view that I've understood)
What I would say is very simple:
choose a particular niche with very few products and make sure that you've purchased all the products that you've listed and test it and verify it for yourself.
Now I think you can simply list it in your website with proper details (along with a contract with the manufacture that they only ship the product the same way that they've sent it to you)

I think that method should work fine.
Bcz when you by a wholesale in any business, you don't check each and every product by yourself Ryt???
Instead, you just go through one or few pieces in each category and assume it to be the same quality for the rest of the goods as well.

So in that regard, I feel the above method I've mentioned should be fine. Allah knows the best!

The dates could have been destroyed or something happened. There is no guarantee. Things get delayed in mail or lost.

only clearfying the product weight, date of delivery and product image is not enough, we also need to mention that we don't own the product, because in the hadees of selling dates people already know that buyer doesn't own the product and the product doesn't exist so in this case we need to mention that we don't own the product.

My question is that : what about the CJ dropshipping / Wio drop shipping or any other company__like they do not manufacture the products they actually purchase the products from manufacturing companies & owns them in their store / company etc. Now we pick those products from their website & publish it on our website & when we get order we simply just pay them & purchase it and ask them to deliver it to the customer because they are doing shipping work too. So like Dr. Zakir said if we work through any courier agent then its halal because they purchase products on our behalf and ship them to the customer ? So in that case is it halal or haram ? In my opinion i think its halal ? Anyone who can explain it ?

What if I first sell something and then go to the manufacturer and buy it from him and then ship it to the buyer by myself? Is it haram or halal?

All the real estate agents stock brokers people who work on credit digital marketers marketers influencers who are selling and promoting and selling a product and people who owns stuff even they can't deliver on a exact date its nearly impossible for a logistics company to ship a product from china to United states on a exactly date and even all the banks does this its impossible to run a business like this
