    I think low dollar items are okay if they are lightning fast to list and ship and cost at most 30 cents on the dollar. Then the mixed calculation comes into play when items like your 50 dollar book are also included, ideally in the same 30 cents on the dollar bulk. When listing, I tend to make sure that the sales value per day is right. What do I want to earn per day, plus take into account that I ideally sell the same value from the range every day. So not just replacing the daily turnover but growing the store.

    Math Genius! Many sellers fail in advance because they don't have the slightest idea what they have paid for their stuff down to the last cent per item. Price guessing is the golden rule here too. ("I'm sure I didn't pay more than 50 cents at some garage sale because I never pay more for it" and similar nonsense) Or rummage in vague memories.

    Some youtubers will pump their ability to make $50-$100 per hour. At best they're able to pick that much per hour. In reality it takes far more time to clean, research, picture, list, answer questions, send offers, package, ship, etc.

    A thought… I wonder if some kind of a "by the bag" garage sale day is a way to get rid of the loser items and clear out space. Might get you $100 for stuff you'd have to pull up and out of the basement anyway.

    Like, make it a routine… As items drop below the threshhold, then are bundled and still don't sell, once a month or once a quarter or whatever, some sort of fb marketplace quick sale garage sale… on the way to goodwill…. hmmm….
