Should Digital Nomads Come to Malaysia? 🇲🇾 | A Day In Our Lives | Malaysia Travel Vlog 2022
Malaysia, a vibrant Southeast Asian country known for its diverse culture, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine, has been steadily gaining popularity among digital nomads in recent years. As a hub for remote workers and entrepreneurs, Malaysia offers a myriad of opportunities and amenities that make it an attractive destination for those seeking a work-life balance in a paradise-like setting. In this Malaysia travel vlog, we explore the daily lives of digital nomads in Malaysia and delve into why this country should be on every nomad’s bucket list in 2022.
One of the primary factors that make Malaysia an ideal destination for digital nomads is its relatively low cost of living. Compared to many other popular digital nomad hotspots, Malaysia offers affordable accommodation, transportation, and delicious street food that won’t break the bank. As a digital nomad, having a reasonable cost of living allows you to stretch your budget further, enabling you to explore the country, indulge in local experiences, and even save some money for future adventures.
Another significant advantage of choosing Malaysia as a digital nomad destination is its excellent infrastructure. The country boasts a reliable and widespread internet connection, essential for remote work. Whether you’re working from a cozy cafe in Kuala Lumpur, a beachside villa in Langkawi, or a mountain retreat in Cameron Highlands, you can rest assured that your internet connection will be stable and efficient. This infrastructure is critical for maintaining productivity and ensuring that work remains uninterrupted while enjoying the beauty of Malaysia.
Speaking of beauty, Malaysia’s stunning landscapes provide digital nomads with ample opportunities for adventure and relaxation. From the idyllic beaches and crystal-clear waters of the Perhentian Islands to the lush rainforests of Taman Negara National Park, Malaysia is a nature lover’s paradise. After a productive day of work, digital nomads can unwind by immersing themselves in breathtaking surroundings, exploring natural wonders, and engaging in thrilling outdoor activities. The diverse natural beauty of Malaysia offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing digital nomads to recharge their creativity and find inspiration in every corner.
Furthermore, Malaysia’s multicultural society presents a unique opportunity for digital nomads to immerse themselves in various traditions, languages, and cuisines. Home to Malays, Chinese, Indians, and various indigenous groups, Malaysia offers a cultural melting pot that is rich in diversity. Exploring the vibrant neighborhoods of George Town in Penang or Little India in Kuala Lumpur allows digital nomads to experience a blend of ancient traditions and modern influences, fostering cultural exchange and personal growth.
In conclusion, digital nomads should definitely consider coming to Malaysia in 2022. With its affordable cost of living, reliable infrastructure, stunning landscapes, and multicultural society, Malaysia provides an ideal environment for balancing work and leisure. Whether you’re seeking secluded beaches, lush rainforests, or a vibrant cityscape, Malaysia offers it all. So, pack your bags, secure your digital workspace, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey in this beautiful Southeast Asian gem.

Digital nomads means you can stay anywhere in the world. You can go any place. You stay longer when you like the place or leave if you don’t like it. There is no such thing as should you come to a country as a digital nomad! That is my opinion.
Great video guys, love it! Malaysian welcomes you!
hi guys…apart from usual foreigner vlog in KL showing klcc and pavillion area, try visit The Mines …not far from KL center. You can take the KTM komuter from KL sentral and then jz connect witg Grab..Actually it jz 15 mins walk from KTM komuter station to the mines but because separated by a busy flyover so road crossing maybe a challenge…
what unique abt this mall is there hv a canal flowing though the mall into an open lake…you can take the boat cruise and enjoy the breeze and scenery…
It abit like Venice inside a mall…
Yes, if & ONLY IF all these digital nomads come into Malaysia via a WORKING VISA and pay the appropriate tax. Please don't break the law in this country because once you're caught, you won't like the experience in prison & the punishment that goes along with it before being deported. In Malaysia and many other Asian countries, we had too many Karen & Chad problems who are too proud of their white skin & foreign nationalities. Don't abuse it as the repercussion is not something anyone would like. Read up on the name Kirsten Gray (not on what foreign western media reports but what locals expressed & discovered what she did). Always treat any countries & locals that you visit / liaise with respect.
nah, super conservative country. okie to visit though
one of the main reason digital nomads like malaysia as their main stop over in this south east asia region is Malaysia provide 3 months visa free
