KUALA LUMPUR CLOUDS | EPISODE 17 OF DIGITAL NOMAD VLOG

CLOUDY IN KUALA LUMPUR | DIGITAL NOMAD VLOG 17

Kuala Lumpur, the vibrant capital of Malaysia, is a city known for its towering skyscrapers, bustling street markets, and rich cultural heritage. In the latest installment of the digital nomad vlog series, the focus shifts to a cloudy day in this bustling metropolis.

The video opens with the narrator waking up to a grey and overcast morning, a departure from the usual sunny weather in Kuala Lumpur. The cloudy skies set the tone for a day of exploration and adventure as the digital nomad sets out to discover the city’s hidden gems.

The first stop on the itinerary is a visit to one of Kuala Lumpur’s many coffee shops, where the narrator indulges in a steaming cup of local brew while taking in the laid-back atmosphere. The cloudy weather seems to have cast a cozy and relaxed vibe over the city, making it the perfect day to savor a hot beverage and unwind.

As the day progresses, the digital nomad takes the opportunity to explore some of Kuala Lumpur’s lesser-known neighborhoods, away from the tourist crowds. The cloudy weather provides the perfect backdrop for a leisurely stroll through the city’s streets, allowing for a more intimate and authentic experience.

The narrator also takes viewers on a tour of Kuala Lumpur’s famous food scene, sampling local delicacies and street food offerings. The cloudy weather doesn’t dampen the vibrant flavors and aromas that permeate the city’s culinary landscape, and the digital nomad enthusiastically dives into the diverse and delicious fare on offer.

Despite the lack of sunshine, the narrator expresses a sense of contentment and enjoyment as they navigate through the city’s bustling streets and hidden alleyways. The cloudy weather seems to have brought a sense of tranquility and peacefulness to the urban landscape, offering a unique and different perspective of Kuala Lumpur.

The video concludes with a stunning sunset over Kuala Lumpur’s iconic skyline, the cloudy skies giving way to a dramatic and beautiful display of colors. The narrator reflects on the day’s adventures, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to experience the city in a different light.

As the digital nomad vlog 17 comes to a close, it’s clear that even on a cloudy day, Kuala Lumpur has no shortage of charm, excitement, and beauty to offer. The city’s diverse and dynamic character shines through, regardless of the weather, making it a must-visit destination for digital nomads and travelers alike.

I would say Penang is the best place for long term digital nomads. But for short term I recommend Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu. And the weather is rainy because during the end of the year the weather is rainier than usual.

I think what you need is to show more intimacy, you keep us at a distance if that makes sense. If I say specifics it won't be genuine anymore

Well done with the vlog, I can't believe you did this all by yourself. Found you through rileybennett instagram. It's very professionally done. Between Sept to Dec is our monsoon season, we love it cloudy because it's cooler. Otherwise you will be uncomfortably baked and drenched in sweat from all the walking you're doing. It beats having the haze and scorching heat anytime.

Hi. I'm pretty new here. Awesome vlog.
I'd like to know about how a couple both working in the same field works out. Do you guys get tired of always being together? how do you separate the work and your romantic relationship?
    thank you very much.

Hey man, first off, great job. I love your vlogs. Of all the digital nomad channels, yours is my favorite. The subjects you talk about, showing the working spaces, the production value of your videos (camera angles, perfect music to fit the mood, pacing, etc) are all fantastic. I can only imagine the effort you're putting into it, and it shows. Love the timelapses too. It make the whole video flow smoother and makes it fun (get to see what you're doing rather than just cutting to a completely different scene). Fantastic stuff.

As for what I'd like to see more of…would love to see you exploring more places off the beaten path. Also, would be cool to see you interacting with more locals. Still want to see the interaction/interviews with other nomads, but would also be great to see/experience some more local stuff.

That interview you did recently with the nomads who were for/against the digital nomads in Niman thing was really cool. Maybe do a few more of those on controversial/emotional subjects and speak to some locals as well.

Lastly, would also like to see more videos of you just hanging out with friends. It gives more insight on your life, creates a connection with you, gives perspective on the nomad life in general, and also it's just fun to watch.

    Keep up the awesome work!

software engineers in the states raise your hand. I'm guessing your audience is a technical one, if so it would interesting to hear what's going on locally from a developers perspective.

As an American, Kuala Lumpur would be an excellent digital nomad destination. 90 day tourist visas and great hub for travel. The issue is something you pointed out at the beginning, not enough co-working spaces. I've found a few decent cafes to work from though. Great video.

How about more content on the pros and cons of various nomad business models?

For example, there seems to be a lot of varying opinion on whether drop shipping/Amazon FBA is a value-creating, long term sustainable business (if you set aside all the people selling online courses on how to make big bucks doing it). In general, "selling the dream" type business models tend to at least raise a few eyebrows among all but the most naive.

What are the most sustainable business models you've seen so far? And among those, which have at least some passive income component that allows ample time to chill, network, and unplug from work long enough to travel for at least a day or two without being digitally tethered to clients, bosses, or customers?

Chris, you are doing a great job with your vlog. Even though this episode is not the most fascinating one in your series, but, as usual, you are very consistent in providing a wealth of great tips. I have been watching you from the very beginning and it's amazing how dedicated you are to this undertaking. Your blog stands out because it is very informative and straight to the point clean cut. My favorite episodes when you show what sources are available out there for nomads and travelers (co-working spaces, accommodations, eateries and such) and give a comparison of those. Keep up, you have a bright future, and remember Albert Einstein quote "“Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.”

I'd like to see a little bit more cultural immersion. You've shown us a lot of the 'hard work' side of being a digital nomad – the daily realities – but I'd like to see the perks and pleasures, too. Otherwise, what's the point in being nomadic?!
