Life as a Digital Nomad in Medellin, Colombia: A Tour of Our New Apartment + First Night in Medellin

For many digital nomads, the allure of traveling the world while working remotely is a dream come true. Having recently arrived in Medellin ourselves, we were eager to get settled in and explore our new surroundings.

After hours of research and apartment hunting, we finally found the perfect place to call home. As we unlocked the door and stepped inside for the first time, we were immediately greeted by the modern and stylish interior that reflected the charm of Medellin.

The living room, adorned with locally sourced artwork, boasted a comfortable couch and a large flat-screen TV, perfect for unwinding after a long day’s work. The kitchen, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, seemed an ideal space for culinary adventures and experimenting with local Colombian recipes. As we moved along, we discovered two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds that promised a great night’s sleep.

Unable to contain our excitement, we headed out to experience Medellin’s famous nightlife scene. El Poblado truly comes alive after dark, with the streets lined with bustling bars and clubs. We joined the vibrant crowd, dancing to the infectious beats of Latin music and immersing ourselves in the pulsating energy. It was an unforgettable first night in Medellin, and we couldn’t wait to explore more of what this fascinating city had to offer.

The following days were a whirlwind of exploration and new experiences. We took advantage of Medellin’s efficient public transportation system, hopping on the Metro and cable cars to explore different neighborhoods. We visited the picturesque Parque Arví, a nature reserve located high in the mountains that offered breathtaking views of the city below. We also immersed ourselves in Medellin’s rich culture by visiting museums, engaging in language exchanges with locals, and sampling delicious Colombian cuisine at the city’s many food markets.

As digital nomads, we also made sure to take advantage of Medellin’s growing coworking scene. We discovered several coworking spaces that offered all the amenities we needed to comfortably work remotely, surrounded by fellow creatives and entrepreneurs. Collaborating and networking with like-minded individuals only added to the richness of our experience in Medellin.
