No Experience? Here’s 5 EASY Freelance Remote Jobs for Beginners! (Upwork & Fiverr)

Are you a beginner looking for freelance jobs but feel discouraged because you lack experience? Don’t worry, there are several opportunities available for individuals starting their freelancing journey. Thanks to online platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, you can find remote jobs that require little to no previous experience. Here are five freelance jobs that are perfect for beginners.

1. Content Writing
If you possess decent writing skills, content writing can be a great entry point into the freelancing world. Many businesses and individuals are constantly in need of engaging blog posts, articles, or website content. Starting with smaller projects can help you gain experience and build up your portfolio. Platforms like Upwork and Fiverr allow you to showcase your writing skills and bid on various content writing gigs.

2. Virtual Assistant
Being a virtual assistant is another excellent option for beginners. As a virtual assistant, you can assist clients with tasks such as managing their emails, scheduling appointments, research, or social media management. While some clients may prefer experienced virtual assistants, many are willing to give beginners a chance. Building a strong work ethic, being organized, and having good communication skills are essential qualities for this job.

3. Graphic Design
If you have a creative flair and some basic design skills, graphic design can be a lucrative freelance gig. Many businesses and individuals require eye-catching visuals for their websites, social media platforms, or marketing materials. With free design software like Canva and Adobe Spark, you can create stunning designs without prior experience. Starting with simple projects like creating logos, social media banners, or simple illustrations can help you build your graphic design portfolio.

Start by managing the social media profiles of small businesses or individuals in your niche. This way, you can gain experience and learn the ins and outs of social media management.

5. Transcription
Transcription involves converting audio or video files into written content. While it may require good listening skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, it is an ideal job for beginners. Many companies are looking for transcriptionists to convert interviews, podcasts, or videos into text form. You can find transcription gigs on Upwork or Fiverr and gradually build your experience and reputation.

As a beginner in the freelance world, it’s important to start small, gain experience, and gradually build your portfolio. These five jobs are just a few examples of the many freelance opportunities available for beginners. Remember, while experience can be helpful, it is not always a prerequisite for success. Even if this doesn’t work, you’ve gained a new sub just because of your energy!!

So the trick is to start small $ per/hr, show examples of work and get as many good review as possible. Then once you look like a pro, charge more?

I’m guessing it may take a few months to get a decent amount of reviews as the jobs will be far in between with not much reviews. So it’s a patients game, but if you stick with it, it will be worth it in the long run.

Also with repeat customers, it’s borderline passive income if your accomplished on the app.

I don’t mind spending $50 on a pack of connects. I would bid a lot of connects just to get a few jobs for reviews. Is it “the more connects you bid, the better chance you have at getting hired”?

    Hi! Thanks for your video!
If I don't have lots of experience or achievements, how would you suggest I make a successful cover letter? It seems ever job you apply for on upwork require one. I'm kinda stuck there. Don't want to mess it up before I send it

Hello Josh, great videos thank you! I feel I have different things I can offer on upwork, from being a tutor for several subjects, to interpreting languages, to all these things you just mentioned here. So my question is, how can you create multiple or one profile for all these things you are able to offer, and will it sell? Or should I create several upwork accounts? Or what is your strategy for this, because a 'can do anything' person may not be as appealing for employers? Looking forward to your thoughts.

Thank you very much for your information but I do got a question if you might have some suggestions. I am a photographer and I also do a lot of photo editing and I'm just curious if you might have any feedback on getting part-time work remotely doing photo editing here's a little sample of my video of what I can do and again if you have any suggestions that would be great.

I’m afraid to try Freelance Jobs because I don’t think that I have the skill to manage freelancing but I’m in a bit of a pickle currently. I’ve been doing Graphics Design for over 3 years and I’d like to would like to work as one but I’m afraid that my work isn’t up to anyone’s expectations. Should I try freelance or should I try looking for a simple job?

This video provides a great starter for people who want to get into freelancing on the main platforms. What tips do you have for rising the ranks and getting those top-rated reviews? In my experience, the customer service element is what is most lacking on these platforms, so any tips for viewers on how to improve this aspect of their work should help with their reviews.
