Are you looking to make some extra money from the comfort of your home? Have you considered creating and selling online courses? With the rise of e-learning platforms and the increasing demand for online education, creating and selling online courses can be a lucrative way to earn money. In this beginner’s guide, we will walk you through the steps to getting started and making money with online courses.
1. Choose a topic: The first step in creating an online course is choosing a topic that you are knowledgeable and passionate about. Consider your expertise, experience, and interests when selecting a topic. Remember, the more niche and specific your topic, the more likely you are to attract a dedicated audience.
2. Research the market: Before creating your course, it is important to research the market to see if there is a demand for your chosen topic. Look for similar courses online, analyze their content, pricing, and target audience. This research will help you identify gaps and opportunities in the market that you can capitalize on.
3. Create high-quality content: Once you have chosen a topic and researched the market, it’s time to create your course content. Make sure your content is informative, engaging, and easy to understand. Consider using a variety of formats such as video lectures, quizzes, assignments, and resources to keep your students engaged.
4. Choose a platform: There are several platforms available for hosting and selling online courses, such as Udemy, Teachable, and Thinkific. Choose a platform that aligns with your needs and budget. Some platforms charge a flat fee, while others take a percentage of your course sales.
5. Market your course: After creating your course, it’s time to promote it to attract students. Use social media, email marketing, and other digital marketing techniques to reach your target audience. Consider offering discounts, free trials, or bonuses to entice students to enroll in your course.
6. Engage with your students: Building a relationship with your students is essential for the success of your online course. Encourage interaction, provide feedback, and answer any questions or concerns promptly. Engaged students are more likely to complete the course and recommend it to others.
7. Analyze and iterate: Once your course is live, track its performance using analytics tools provided by your chosen platform. Analyze key metrics such as enrollments, completion rates, and student feedback. Use this data to iterate and improve your course content for future iterations.
In conclusion, creating and selling online courses can be a profitable venture for those looking to make money online. By choosing a topic, researching the market, creating high-quality content, choosing a platform, marketing your course, engaging with students, and analyzing performance, you can set yourself up for success in the booming e-learning industry. So, why wait? Get started today and start making money with your online courses!

What was the most useful/interesting part of this video for you?
Thank you VERY much, Ali. Would I be able to charge in a different currency in Kajabi or Podia? (different from dollars) ? Besides it, I didn't get why these platforms are better than uploading the course on Udemy or Hotmart, etc?
What happened your finger…?
This is awesome and definitely what i need! Indeed before i create a course, i need to know the demand and start by running free webinar to see the interest of my audience. Start building your audience!
Why can't you start with skillshare or udemy without creating your own leads and traffic? Why you are suggesting a newbie to go all by themselves?
I lost over $80k when everything started to tank.
Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Mrs Talka
Very interesting, thanks for breaking this topic down
How do you find the 100 people for the free email course or zoom seminar? Its all about the traffic problem.
Its the same issue with a free content video on Youtube. You can post it but nobody will know its there.
Thank You so much Ali. I’m typically a teacher, but in my own language I can express my thoughts and feelings. English is not my native language. What would you advise me to do if I wanted to teach online?
Ali, is it illegal or a bad practice to pay someone to make video course for me and I sell online?
Step by step.
Most people find online courses to be a scam and the only reason he’s making big money is because he got in first, heck Skillshare list him on their homepage for multiple courses! Nobody is really making that much money unless they’re incredibly lucky and got in first.
I really wish I could find the next big thing. Drop-shipping is dead. Courses are oversaturated. How do people find the next big money maker?!
It’s way too late to get into course-making now because every conceivable online course is already out there and thousands of people will always go for the most popular course creators.
If I started a guitar course I’d never gain traction because the guitarists course mentioned in this video already has major traction. It’s like choosing between eBay and eBid – most people will always choose the beginner / most popular which is eBay.
