One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, especially when it comes to scouring through the bins at thrift stores. Spending just one hour in the bins can yield surprising results, as I recently discovered on a trip to my local thrift store.
Poshmark and Ebay are two popular online platforms for reselling pre-loved items, and I have used them both to generate some extra income. So, armed with my knowledge of what sells well on these platforms, I set out to see what I could find in just one hour of bin digging.
I was amazed at the treasures I uncovered in such a short amount of time. One of my first finds was a vintage leather jacket in great condition. Leather jackets are always a hot commodity on Poshmark, and I knew this find would fetch a good price. I also found a pair of designer jeans in my size, which I knew would sell quickly on both Poshmark and Ebay.
As I continued to dig through the bins, I came across a brand new with tags Kate Spade handbag. This was a real score, as designer handbags are always in demand on resale platforms. I also found a few pieces of vintage jewelry, including a pair of clip-on earrings from the 1950s. Vintage jewelry always sells well on Poshmark, so I knew I had hit the jackpot with this find.
By the time my hour was up, I had accumulated a pile of items that I knew would sell quickly and for a good price. I was thrilled with my haul and couldn’t wait to get home and start listing everything on Poshmark and Ebay.
In just one hour of bin digging, I had found a treasure trove of items that were in demand on resale platforms. I was able to turn my thrift store finds into a tidy profit, thanks to the power of Poshmark and Ebay. So next time you’re looking to make some extra cash, don’t overlook the bins at your local thrift store – you never know what treasures you might find!

Good job Julia. Thx for another great video
I have sold a blazer MaxMara but too a long time and several price drops. Right now I have a silk shirt gorgeous, not one like. Maybe it’s a Canada thing. Maybe I will consider posting it in my US closet. Nice haul
I am so intimidated by the bins. I have never been. I need to after seeing how much better the deal is! I rely on Savers coupons and 50% goodwill days.

I've sold several birddog pants. Everyone I sold had a different color on the inside. It's usually lined like underwear on the inside. Some were yellow, some blue, and there was another color too.
The orange dress makes me think of so many things, Valley of the Dolls came to mind first.
There is no judgment for wearing maternity. It's been 29 years since my last child, and I still wear a dress I got when pregnant with my almost 33 year old. It looks like a cute sailor swing dress with a ruffle around the bottom.
I scored a new with tag, James Perce standard pair of shorts at our dollar clothing outlet locally about a year ago
The green velvet would be great for holiday parties. Even a fall affair.
I felt like I had the worst bins day ever this weekend, seems ALMOST everything was store pulls…but after photographing it was definitely a quality over quantity type day.
I just sold some birddog tan shorts for over $35. They even has a couple small stains
OMG! My eldest sister had an orange pleated dress like that in the 60s. She looked fab.
