As an FYI, this morning we opted out and already have 3 sales since. Again not saying this is the reason YOU are not getting sales but I suspect for some this may be why.

It's every platform. Because it's the economy. If you aren't dealing in essentials – your going to see a dip. Inflation is hovering near a 40 year high. People are struggling to eat. The first thing their cutting out is any purchase that isn't absolutely necessary. I'm sure shipping polices play a role but it's far from being the biggest factor.

Go vote and ideally do so based on policies and plans of tangible action instead of tribal lines and what your friends think. Want more of the same? Keep voting for the same people.

    Disgusting.
    Deplorable.
    Annoying.
    Corrupt.
    Criminal.
    Deceitful.
    All these come to mind.
eBay Now FAILS to promote sellers listings.
I search a word, "Makita". I only get 160 results. Within my search parameters, there are more than 3,748 items.

Why are you withholding all but a miniscule percent?

I get this with every search now, I am unable to find available items I may want to purchase because they are never offered to me.

How can I trust eBay any more?

I reserve this question for greater public discussion and publication, along with any reply you (eBay) care to provide.

I used to make offers on eBay where there was this option. Now you have to add your credit card details before you make the offer with no option to use Google Pay. No way am I giving eBay my CC details directly, same reason I do not use PP.

I quit as a seller when they brought in management payments although my sales were going well. Consequently, my buying has dropped to an absolute minimum. Once my Paypal is empty, Ebay is over for me. No money coming in, no money going out. They're losing in two directions. Ebay should have had seller representation at a manageement level in the same way, say, German corporations have high level union representation. The people making the decisions cannot be actual users of the site, otherwise they'd have know how much it and those decisions they made suck.

As a Canadian seller and buyer I have found that when buying from USA sellers that the cost of shipping is higher for my purchase when the seller uses the Global Shipping Program (compared to the lower rate of the seller shipping directly to me) because essentially there are two shipments being made, one from the seller to the Global Shipping Program warehouse location and then from there to the buyer…. therefore the cost of shipping for the buyer goes up, so therefore less buyers. Yes this is easier for you the seller, but worse for the buyer.

Thanks to Fauci ruining the economy with c*vid restrictions starting in 2020, and then inflation, my sales have been almost non-existent for over 2 years. People have stopped spending like they were in the past.

Okay, Opting out of WHAT?? I've been doing what I always do… Yes my sales are down, I ship the way I always ship. The only thing I see that's changed is First Class going to Ground Advantage. Am I missing something else?? My business policies are the same. I very rarely get an international sale and I tell the buyer to use Global Shipping, period. I do not mail to Canada. If anyone can enlighten me, that'd be great. But my sales have definitely gone down. This time of year they always do though, then go back up in the fall normally, but we shall see and by the holidays I'm usually nuts.

Reselling is dead because we are entering a recession and months of QE have taken all liquidity out of the market. Get a real job.

ebay International shipping is all ebay controlling everything at a very high cost to both Buyer and Seller.

ebay has killed the Golden Goose. I used to Sell Internationally using the USPS and the costs have gone through the Roof and it's just to too expensive now for small Sellers. No body wants to pay for shipping Internationally, it's just too expensive.

I know this is late but I thought I was opted in to EIS but I guess I wasn’t totally as now my listing page state’s EBay International shipping .. so ALL sales stopped in both stores! So I’ll try opting out and see how it goes .. I’m dead with 1 sales in 4 days with 2 stores!

Hi Jon. I was auto enrolled on the international shipping on Wednesday morning. I thought I wouldn't be affected because I don't sell internationally. I was wrong. Wednesday was slow. Thursday my sales dropped significantly and by Friday morning I had no sells or offers. I went and opted out of the program this morning around 8am. By 11am sales and offers started again. Just wanted to let you know and thanks for all the helpful info.

Hey that was very helpful. I couldnt figure out why sales were so bad. I just blamed Biden on ruining everything, which he has but, I think this will help. OPT OUT!!!

for many years, i've always searched for the items i was looking to buy. lately, for the past 2 or 3 years, in every single instance, the sellers were super greedy, and auctioning off these items at or above msrp, plus tax, plus shipping. why on earth would anyone pay more for used when they can pay less for new literally anywhere else? so this year, i stopped searching on ebay. just not worth my time.

you are totally correct. there is something major wrong with new EIS program we are a large seller of 26 years and since two of our locations entered the program their sales went from 5k per week to ZEROOOO yes ZERRROOOO. none of our other 17 locations have seen anything more than the summer time 8 % drop which is normal and they all opted out of the EIS since they sell clothing and many over sea countries it is illegal to send clothing to. and the seller gets the homeland security at their doors not ebay.

Someone at ebay automatically opted me in and my sales went down over 50% in the next month.. I already had all international shipping blocked.. Also, it seems suddenly many of my sales are coming from dropshippers..

From my experience, international shipping means you have to spend 15 minutes in the PO line, then deal with the clerk entering the customs form info into the system. A big waste of time.
