If you are looking for a side hustle that can earn you a substantial income, then consider retail arbitrage through Amazon’s FBA program. One store that has proven to be a goldmine for sourcing products is Kohl’s clearance section. With the potential to make up to $800 an hour, this retail arbitrage strategy can be incredibly lucrative.

Retail arbitrage is the process of buying discounted products from one store and reselling them for a higher price on another platform. Kohl’s clearance section is a prime spot for finding heavily discounted items that can be sold for a profit on Amazon. And with the convenience of Amazon’s FBA program, you can let them handle the shipping and customer service while you focus on sourcing and making money.

To get started with Kohl’s clearance arbitrage, you’ll need a few tools of the trade. First and foremost, you’ll require a smartphone with the Amazon Seller app installed. This app allows you to scan the barcodes of potential products and quickly determine their profitability. Additionally, you’ll need a seller account on Amazon and, of course, some capital to make your initial purchases.

Once you have everything set up, head over to the nearest Kohl’s and make your way to the clearance section. Here, you’ll find a wide variety of items on sale, ranging from clothing and home goods to electronics and toys. It’s important to have a clear idea of the types of products that sell well on Amazon before starting your sourcing trip. Look out for popular brands, high-demand items, and products with a strong sales rank.

As you browse through the clearance section, use the Amazon Seller app to scan each item’s barcode. This app will provide you with valuable information such as the item’s current price on Amazon, its sales rank, and the potential profit margin. Aim for products with a healthy profit margin and a low sales rank, as these tend to sell quickly.

Once you have identified a profitable item, purchase it at the discounted price offered by Kohl’s. Be sure to check for any additional discounts or coupons that can further maximize your profits. After making your purchase, head home and prep the items for shipping to Amazon’s FBA warehouses. Amazon will handle the storage, packaging, and shipping of the products to the customers.

Once your items arrive at Amazon’s warehouses, they will become available for purchase on the Amazon marketplace. With proper pricing and optimization, you should start seeing sales relatively quickly. The key to success with retail arbitrage is to continually source new products, replenishing your inventory and maximizing your profit potential.

While the potential to make $800 an hour sounds enticing, it’s important to note that this number represents the potential earnings of a seasoned retail arbitrage expert. As a beginner, it may take some time to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to source products efficiently. Moreover, certain factors, such as the availability of profitable items in the clearance section, can significantly impact your earnings.

Nevertheless, with dedication, research, and a keen eye for profitable products, you can certainly earn a handsome income through Kohl’s clearance arbitrage. Remember to track your expenses, reinvest your profits, and constantly refine your sourcing strategies. As you gain experience and develop a reliable system, the sky’s the limit when it comes to your earning potential in the exciting world of retail arbitrage.

Do you just show your tax exempt certificate at the register? I went to the office at Kohl’s to ask about tax exempt and they said they don’t do it. I’m in Washington state, so I wonder if it varies by state.

Don't pass up on shoes with minor damage to the boxes like that cut. I've sent in plenty of boxes with worse damage, if Amazon receives it and feels like it's too much, they'll rebox it into one of those brown replacements. This is for fba of course, if you are fmb'ing shoes, I'd be a little more careful with box damage.

Hey there. I’ve gotten ungated thru Kohls in major brands…but that’s purchasing from them online & using the invoice. I’m curious if you can do the same buying all those shoes & just using the store receipt?? I’ve always heard just the in store receipt wouldn’t work.
