Selling on Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) can be a lucrative opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to expand their online business. However, for those living outside the USA, navigating the logistics of selling on Amazon can seem daunting. But fear not, with the right strategies and knowledge, you can successfully sell on Amazon FBA from anywhere in the world.
Here are some tips on how to sell on Amazon FBA if you live outside the USA:
1. Set up a Seller Account: The first step to selling on Amazon FBA is to create a seller account. You will need to provide basic information about your business, such as your company name, address, and contact details. Once your account is set up, you can start listing your products on Amazon.
2. Choose the Right Amazon Marketplace: As an international seller, you have the option to sell on multiple Amazon marketplaces, including the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. Research each marketplace to determine which one is the best fit for your products and target audience.
3. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA): One of the key benefits of selling on Amazon FBA is the convenience of having Amazon handle shipping and customer service on your behalf. You will need to send your products to an Amazon fulfillment center, where they will be stored, packed, and shipped to customers when they make a purchase.
4. Understand Customs and Import Regulations: Selling internationally comes with its own set of challenges, including customs and import regulations. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the rules and requirements for importing goods into the US or other countries where you plan to sell your products.
5. Optimize Your Listings: To stand out from the competition on Amazon, it’s essential to optimize your product listings. Use high-quality images, detailed product descriptions, and relevant keywords to improve your visibility and attract more customers.
6. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Customer satisfaction is key to building a successful business on Amazon. Make sure to respond promptly to customer inquiries and address any issues or concerns they may have. Positive reviews and repeat customers will help boost your sales and credibility as a seller.
7. Stay Updated with Amazon Policies: Amazon frequently updates its policies and guidelines for sellers, so it’s important to stay informed about any changes that may affect your business. Join seller forums and groups to connect with other sellers and stay up-to-date on industry news.
In conclusion, selling on Amazon FBA as an international seller is a viable option for entrepreneurs looking to reach a global audience. By following these tips and staying proactive in managing your Amazon business, you can successfully grow your online business and maximize your profits. Good luck!

What challenges have you faced when selling on Amazon? Let us know below! – Lenny
Hello, nice content. I have a question and I hope you can help.
I have a LLC in the UAE and an amazon account in the UAE as well. I'm trying to expand to the US and try open an Amazon US account over my LLC in the UAE. Do you see any issues with this structure? and do I have to pay Taxes except sales taxes? I'm intending to use the Amazon FBA, so the goods will be stored in the amazon warehouses.
hey. my question is, i am living in Austria and starting my amazon in US. in this case should i file my tax return in Austria ?
I’m in Australia. I have an ABN set up. So if I’m to set up an FBA, is it best to have my goods delivered to a U.S. fulfilment centre for faster delivery to U.S. customers? If I open a WorldFirst USD account and have all profits go to that account, how does it work in terms of doing business tax in Australia? Is it after I transfer from the WorldFirst USD account to my Australian business account then I can calculate the ins and outs with my tax accountant? Or since I have an ABN set up in Australia, is it best to not set up a U.S. bank account and have the funds directed to my Australian business account?
Have you done a cross border inventory transfer before? Like not from your supplier but from your own business location.
how's it bro . I'm in NZ and going to start a amazon FBA business next month, was wondering if its better to start my business in new Zealand all in the state as I am a new seller and want to keep it as basic as possible. Also how much does it cost to set up a wise bank account with fees etc .
Those were all the questions i had!
Hi, I m just wondering if we can sell is europe using a LLC from the US ?
Great content! Could you update this video for the 2024 version?
so if you have your business registered in europe, do you stil need an LLC or a DBA ?? or can you sell in US without those ? because you said we pay taxes in the country we are registered
Hi. Is this still relevant about sales tax or is it now more enforcable.
Hey, we just started selling in US from UK. We already have everything set up in UK. Now, for US part, do we have to worry about taxes or Amazon just take it from the selling account and pay on our behalf ? Thanks
you literally wrote the first 3 questions on my mind… here I subscribe !!!!
Hey Lenny – I'm an Australian resident, who wants to sell on Amazon US. I may enter the Australian market at some point, but for now just US. Do I set up my Amazon Seller Account in USA or Australia? I currently do not have one, so this scenario is from scratch.
Buenas, tengo una pregunta, cuando los clientes mandan mensajes y uno no responde Amazon para las ventas, con eso en cuenta no hay forma para crear una respuesta automática
Hi, you guys are amazing! Is it necessary to create a LLC in order to start my business on Amazon US (FBA). I know it is not for US citizens but what about external sellers? (I live in Australia). Thankyou in advance 🙂

How to handle returns?
I'm curious why there isn't a tutorial on selling in the UK for people in the USA. Is it possible?
Do I need to open LLC before I start to sell on Amazon marketplace? Or it's only need when I go for doing brand registry?
Hi! The links on your description box prompts to sign in on seller account which is something I'm preparing to have so I don't have it yet. Can you add new links?
Great video and thanks for all the info. I, however, have a couple questions.. I am a US citizen residing in Japan. I was told opening a LLC in the US would be a lot easier especially regarding the taxes. So I have a LLC in Wyoming, an agent, EIN and just applied for a Sales Tax license.
My questions regarding the Amazon application are:
1- They need a phone number: can it be my Japanese phone number?
2- I heard they may ask for tax forms: will that be my personal ta form in Japan ? because I have just set up my LLC in the US and have not yet paid any taxes.
3- They require a credit card: I have one but addressed at my home in Japan and not the LLC in the US.
4- they ask for a utility bill: A japanese utility bill? or a utility bill from my LLC ( which is from virtual agent in wyoming) which is something I can not provide…
I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could answer those 4 points that are blocking me from attempting to creat my Amazon seller account.
Thanks in advance!
does Payooner still works with Amazon?
Very helpful video . Just a quick question: what about import tax when you are shipping( by air) from overseas to a prep centre then to Amazon ? How does it works ? Would be charged on your credit cards ?
