Many digital nomads are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting destinations to explore while working remotely. Serbia, with its low cost of living, beautiful landscapes, and rich history, has become an increasingly popular choice for digital nomads looking to experience a new culture while working on their laptops.
For those looking to stay in Serbia for an extended period of time, there are a few visa options available. The most popular option for digital nomads is the Temporary Residence Visa, which allows individuals to stay in Serbia for up to a year. To apply for this visa, you will need to show proof of income, medical insurance, and a place to stay during your time in Serbia. The process can be time-consuming, so it’s best to start the application process well in advance of your planned arrival date.
Another option for digital nomads is the Freelancer Visa, which allows individuals to work remotely while staying in Serbia. To qualify for this visa, you will need to show proof of income from a remote job or freelance work, as well as a contract or letter of intent from a Serbian company or client. This visa is valid for up to a year and can be renewed as needed.
When it comes to choosing where to live in Serbia, there are a few popular options for digital nomads. Belgrade, the capital city, is a vibrant and bustling metropolis with a thriving digital nomad community. With its affordable cost of living, modern amenities, and lively nightlife, Belgrade is a popular choice for those looking to experience city life in Serbia.
For those who prefer a more laid-back lifestyle, Novi Sad, a picturesque city on the banks of the Danube River, offers a quieter alternative to the hustle and bustle of Belgrade. With its charming architecture, friendly locals, and beautiful scenery, Novi Sad is an ideal destination for digital nomads looking to escape the city.
In terms of things to do in Serbia, there is no shortage of cultural attractions, outdoor activities, and delicious cuisine to enjoy. Explore the historic streets of Belgrade and visit the iconic Belgrade Fortress, take a leisurely stroll along the cobblestone streets of Novi Sad’s Old Town, or sample traditional Serbian dishes like cevapi and rakija at a local restaurant.
For those looking to escape the city, Serbia’s stunning countryside offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, and outdoor adventure. Visit the picturesque Tara National Park, explore the ancient monasteries of Fruška Gora, or relax by the crystal-clear waters of the Uvac River.
Overall, Serbia offers a unique and exciting destination for digital nomads looking to experience a new culture, explore beautiful landscapes, and work remotely while living abroad. With its range of visa options, diverse cities, and endless opportunities for adventure, Serbia is a must-visit destination for any digital nomad.

who are you? the little hebrew guide for all the little hebrews. you will not get rich through these territories, the devil lied to you
Interesting. I would never think about moving anywhere in Bali, Indonesia, Thailand, south America etc since I absolutely hate summer/hot weather and besides work, skiing is my other occupation/passion, so my husband (who's a skier too) and I only considered moving to places with nearby ski areas which have a solid, snowy winter. Your amazing Romania video just encouraged us to move to Brasov, but I love watching your other Eastern Europe videos, since I love the entire zone!!
Thank you!
