The Daily Routine of an Amazon FBA Seller: Novice versus Professional

A Day in the Life of an Amazon FBA Seller: Beginner vs. Expert

Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) has become a popular way for individuals to start their own e-commerce businesses. From beginners just starting out to seasoned experts, the daily routines and activities of an Amazon FBA seller can vary significantly. In this article, we will take a closer look at the day in the life of both a beginner and an expert Amazon FBA seller.

Beginner Seller:

For a beginner Amazon FBA seller, the day usually starts with checking their seller account and sales dashboard. They may spend time responding to customer inquiries, reviews, and feedback. As they are just starting out, they may also dedicate a significant amount of their day to product research and sourcing.

The beginner seller may spend time visiting wholesale trade shows, searching for suppliers, or researching potential products to sell on Amazon. They may also need to spend time learning the ins and outs of Amazon’s seller platform, including how to create product listings, optimize keywords, and manage inventory.

Additionally, a beginner seller will likely spend time managing their inventory, labeling products, and preparing shipments to be sent to Amazon’s fulfillment centers. They may also need to work on marketing their products, creating advertising campaigns, and managing their overall business expenses.

Expert Seller:

For an expert Amazon FBA seller, the day is likely to look quite different. They may start their day by monitoring their sales and performance metrics, analyzing customer feedback, and checking on the performance of their advertising campaigns. They have likely developed a deeper understanding of their target market and have a more refined product selection process.

The expert seller may also spend time on product innovation, developing new products or variations to expand their product line. They may also have delegated some of the day-to-day operations to employees or virtual assistants, allowing them to focus on higher-level tasks such as strategic planning and business expansion.

In addition, the expert seller may spend time on market research and analysis, identifying new trends, and staying ahead of the competition. They may also have developed relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, enabling them to negotiate better pricing and terms for their products.

Overall, the expert seller is likely to have a more streamlined and efficient day-to-day operation, with a focus on scaling their business and maximizing profits.

In conclusion, the day in the life of an Amazon FBA seller can vary greatly depending on their level of experience. Beginners are often focused on learning the ropes and building their business from the ground up, while experts have honed their skills and are focused on growth and expansion. Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, the key to success as an Amazon FBA seller is to stay adaptable, continuously learn, and adapt to the ever-evolving e-commerce landscape.

Does anyone have a daily system to manage your business and brand and products on a daily basis.

Procedures for brands and products at different stages

What should you be doing daily for products in prelaunch
What are your daily procedures for products and brand during launch

    Post launch optimization

    What procedures do you outsource

Were you born affluent or you worked yourself up? I grew up in a project in PR…not easy…. But learn a lot of things and the Amazon’s FBA is not new, but is it worth it? I have a new baby girl and I want to give her a better life and now is paycheck to paycheck and I want better for her, what you can share with me ? Like how much money is good to start? And how about this, is making YouTube videos about Amazon fba making more people aware and increasing competition?

Time to commit to a lifetime with your girl. Take it from an old guy, women like Ariana won't be around forever. One day you'll wonder what happened to all that time you thought you had. All you'll have is your dog or cat to wake up to. All my best to you two.

Hello Travis. I started to follow your channel few days ag. Of course I was curious and have been trying to find your PNB nut butter on Amazon for about 20 minutes but I have not. I used different keywords and even in “recommended” from Amz below I didn’t find it. Is it a kind of your advertisement company optimization? I mean is there any location tuneups which shows your advertisement only to US customers? Maybe search engine shows only those goods which can be delivered by Amz to a customer and I guess Amz do not deliver your PNB to Russia. So AMZ do not show your adv just not to charge you extra ppc which will be generally a waste. Could it be a reason?

I don't do FBA, but I really like what you say about getting out and about. One of the few Youtube channels I follow regularly, you're sort of the virtual 'support group'

Hello Travis, greetings from MExico mi amigo, well, i´ve been watching your videos like 3 days ago, now im subscribed, i appreciate how honest you are, as am the same way.

I get everything you say, like designers charging more when things are going better, people telling or offering one thing and then retracting ( like your manufacturer ), also other bussineses copying your ideas, designs, formulas, even the way you talk as a brand, i own 6 brands of eliquids in my country, and i totally understand that. I don´t consider myself as a seller, im more like a creative person, i enjoy developing new ideas, projects, products, etc… and im trying to learn more about digital marketing and sales, as my brands growth was based on mouth to mouth recomendations, not paid advertising, also we can´t pay advertising in this bussines, and to be honest, the first 4 years i hated marketing, why? because people don´t always use it for a good purpose, there are some bad companies with bad quality products but with a lot of money that do it, and we as entrepeneurs don´t start with that kind of money, and my way to offer a product is telling the truth, i don´t envolve with words to my clients, i mean if they ask for the wholesale price, i just give them the wholesale price, but the weird thing is, some or most of them like to be lied, as an example lets say the retail prices is 200 usd, the wholesale price is 100 ( the best competitive price with low MOQ), they want to hear, that the prices is 150, then "negotiate" and convince you for a disscount, so you say 140, then some other chit chat, and tell them 135, and so on, with that strategy they think they got a good deal, but the real price was 100, but they like that a lot, and some times i get frustrated for that because i don´t like lying, so it is like a dilemma, 2 options, one is to just being honest like always, and the other is to not being honest, and the weird thing is that it seems buyers believe that if you play that lying game, you are a better seller, when the reality is that you don´t, you just charge them more, so maybe it will be another topic you can talk about on your channel, i don´t see youtubers talk about it.

It is 100% true that starting a bussines based on what you are passion about flows better than chasing money, i hope we can chat or talk one day, as im a little bit different in my way to see bussiness, my vision is more towards to create, design and produce my products, for most of my projects i prefer to produce myself, as manufacturers not always care that much for your product, so i normally am the manufacturer, the distributor and the retailer at the same time. I´ve seen a lot of videos talking about dropshipping, but they are focus on being the seller and not the manufacturer, for the way i am and i see my projects, maybe offering my brands for dropshipping could be my way to go, as my skills on digital marketing are not so great, but i haven´t found nothing based on that, most dropshipping apps are for resellers and not manufacturers, so if you have any info on that, please let me know.

For people who are starting bussines, my advise would be almost the same as what you say on your videos, i will just add that if they are capable of doing the production by themselves, do it, as it gives you more competitive margins and prices, also you can check quality by yourself, always check your cashflows, dont spend more that what you earn, DONT COMPARE yourself with your competition, also if you haven´t started do not copy any other person bussines, if you want to make or sell something related to a certain category, innovate, don´t do the same, like Travis say, if you do something different, at least for sometime you will be the only one or with less competition, then when someone copy your idea, you inovate again, at first having persons copying your ideas does not feel good, but in the long way, the way i see it is, ok, if they copy something i make, it means i done something so great that they want to do it too.

I´m firstly a normal human being, with creative passions, im a flavorist, engineer, songwriter, artisan, wood artist, starting metal engraving, i love art, entrepeneur, a dad and a friend for my kids, but being honest, people normally judge us, entrepeneurs, as what we describe us, so keep in mind that if you guys are reading this, people will always tell you that you can´t, that it is impossible, that you are crazy, to get a job, also clients sometimes will be harsh on you, always listen but keep only the good things with you, not the bad things, i don´t think doing well is easy nor difficult, it just is, it takes time if you don´t know much, it takes less if you already know, the hard part is keeping it in certain level, and last tip, if you start your own brand, and you do it yourself, DON´T push it, you can start your project having your job too, if you don´t have an income well you can push it, but don´t push it so hard that you won´t be able to deliver, just take your time, let your brand grow, and the most important thing is being healthy, inside and out, money can buy medicine but NOT health, so take care of your health, eat well, exercise, be happy, enjoy the ride, if your project is based on a passion of yours, it will be less irritating, but just let me be clear, by passion i mean something you will do even if you don´t get paid, does not mean that if you do your passion you will be paid immediately, no, we have to work for our achievements, so thats my recomendation, congrats Travis for what you´ve done, hope i can share my story with you on the future, blessings my amigo.
