I Tried Selling On Amazon FBA For 1 Month – The Honest Results
In today’s digital age, the concept of making money online has become increasingly popular. One avenue that many individuals explore is selling products on Amazon, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world. With its Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program, it promises ease of selling as well as access to a massive customer base. Intrigued by the potential, I decided to try my hand at selling on Amazon FBA for one month. Here are the honest results of my experience.
To start, I meticulously researched and selected a product to sell. After thorough consideration, I settled on a niche that I believed had potential. Next, I sourced a supplier and ordered a small batch of products to fulfill my initial inventory. With everything in place, I created a seller account and prepared to dive into the world of Amazon FBA.
The first week was filled with excitement and anticipation. I optimized my product listing with compelling images, a catchy title, and a well-crafted description. I diligently read up on SEO strategies and implemented keywords to boost my product’s organic visibility. Once all was set up, I eagerly awaited sales to roll in.
However, the reality of selling on Amazon FBA hit me hard during the second week. Despite my efforts in optimizing my product listing, my product was struggling to compete among the sea of similar products. I quickly realized that standing out in a crowded market is a daunting task. It became apparent that simply having an appealing listing was not enough; effective marketing and promotion were crucial to success.
With this realization, I shifted my focus to spreading the word about my product. I experimented with various marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, influencers, and Amazon’s built-in advertising services. While these efforts generated some initial sales, the cost of marketing and competition from other sellers ate into my profit margins.
As the weeks went by, I experienced both highs and lows. Some days, I received a flurry of orders, which brought a feeling of accomplishment. On other days, sales were few and far between, leaving me questioning whether it was all worth it. Despite the rollercoaster ride, I persisted, constantly tweaking my marketing efforts and analyzing customer feedback.
The final week of my one-month experiment arrived, and I took the time to evaluate my overall experience. While I did manage to generate some sales and learn a great deal about the intricacies of selling on Amazon FBA, the profit margin was far from what I had initially anticipated. The continuous marketing expenses, Amazon fees, and shipping costs made it challenging to turn a significant profit.
In conclusion, my one-month journey as an Amazon FBA seller was an eye-opening experience. It highlighted the fierce competition and the need for continuous marketing efforts. While it is possible to make money through Amazon FBA, it requires careful product selection, effective marketing strategies, and a constant drive to adapt and improve. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme, but rather a business venture that requires dedication, patience, and persistence.
For someone looking to start selling on Amazon FBA, I would advise thorough research, meticulous product selection, and a realistic understanding of the challenges ahead. It is essential to have a backup plan and diversify income streams to minimize potential risks. Ultimately, the decision to embark on this journey should be based on a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a willingness to put in the necessary effort to succeed.

I checked up the rocket tea now. It averages 60 sales a month, which means around 200 dollars of profit each month. I mean, its still profit after 5 months, but the numbers are nowhere as impressive as in the video, but i am curious as to why it has dropped so much, or if it never sold for much in the first place.
Keep watching ALL of his guest they ALL keep looking down below the camera……you can clearly realise they are ALL reading a script……this travis is an absolute embarrassment…..LIAR

Hey Travis, for some reason I feel confused all of a sudden on this, but if I have three packages of 4 items, (like I’m selling cream with a pack of 4 in my poly bag and I have 3 of them (three poly bags with four in each one) what should I put In my quantity? 3 since that’s my unit number or 12, since I have 12 total with four in each package. Wow, I really hope that didn’t confuse you lol

Great content! What’s the difference between the UPC code versus the FNSKU barcode? Do you need both barcodes on the product before shipping it to Amazon?
Hi Travis, Do I need a UPC to resell on Amazon from Alibaba (with or without my brand/logo on the box)?
Hi Travis, I came up with an amazing idea which I think is really scalable. However, I have no clue how to get started. I have been watching your videos jotting down your suggestions, but I really need your guide. Is it possible for you to contact me and maybe partner with me on the idea? This idea, I believe, has a really good potential. Looking forward to hearing from you.
You really amazing Man!
I hope to join your community soon, am from Kenya, and hoping it works for me despite the location.
I hope Willem does well. He seems like he's a very nice fella.
Thanks Travis.
Now due to increase in COVID cases in China, are there any other alternative to Alibaba?
Good luck getting a business bank account if you get a LLC in WY… A lot of banks will not issue a bank account if you use a registered agent in WYOMING, DELAWARE, or even NEVADA…. If you’re in California banks want you to register in CA in order to open account in CA… if you have had luck finding a bank let us know..

Hi Travis, what's the email that you send to your email list like? You have mentioned you send follow up emails to the Kickstart people letting them know you are launching a product, that is coming up in 10 days, 5 days and updates like that. What do you say in that email? Like how does the email look like?
Putting your brother in a video is really nice!
hey travis i want to join your course i just have to save money until i get enough to afford it ive been trying to learn as much as i can
Hi! You find this product using magnet and finding a keywords with no or very few competition.
Despite this you have spent a lot of money on ppc. Isn't that a contradiction?
Could it be that you have chosen a product with too few keywords?
Thanks!
2000 in ppc is insane ! Maybe too many your youtuber search and click and waste it.
Does duplicate content harm your website's rankings?
Does duplicate content harm your website's rankings?
Hi Travis! your videos are always great! You are very transparent unlike other FBA sellers. My question : If i were to locate an existing product on amazon and decided to differentiate it and make better..the have manufacturer make it…….would that be considered private label ?? Do you recommend having my logo on my actual product too?? im confused.
