If you’re looking to sell restricted products on Amazon FBA, you may need to go through a process called “ungating.” This process involves getting approval from Amazon to sell products in certain categories or brands that are typically restricted to only approved sellers.
One popular method to get ungated is through Target. Target is a retail giant and established brand that carries a wide variety of products. By leveraging your relationship with Target, you can increase your chances of getting ungated on Amazon FBA. Here’s how to get ungated using Target as a source:
1. Start by sourcing products from Target: The first step to getting ungated is to source products from Target. This means you will need to purchase goods from Target either in-store or online and resell them on Amazon. Make sure to keep detailed records of your purchases and invoices as Amazon may request proof of purchase during the ungating process.
2. Build a strong seller reputation: Amazon wants to ensure that only reputable sellers are approved to sell restricted products. To increase your chances of getting ungated, focus on building a strong seller reputation on Amazon. This includes maintaining a high seller rating, timely shipping, and providing exceptional customer service.
3. Apply for ungating through Amazon Seller Central: Once you have sourced products from Target and built a strong seller reputation, you can apply for ungating through Amazon Seller Central. Amazon typically requires sellers to provide invoices, photos of the products, and other documentation to prove their legitimacy. Be prepared to provide all necessary information during the application process.
4. Follow up with Amazon: After submitting your application, be sure to follow up with Amazon regularly to check on the status of your ungating approval. Amazon may request additional information or clarification during the review process, so be prompt in providing any requested documentation.
5. Stay compliant: Once you have successfully been ungated, it’s important to continue following Amazon’s guidelines and policies to maintain your approval. Make sure to keep your inventory stocked with Target products and comply with any restrictions or guidelines set forth by Amazon.
By leveraging your relationship with Target and following these steps, you can increase your chances of getting ungated on Amazon FBA. Remember to stay patient and persistent throughout the process, as ungating can sometimes be a lengthy and challenging process. Good luck!
