Tommyinnit’s Decision to Leave YouTube

Tommyinnit, a popular Minecraft YouTuber and streamer, recently shocked fans by announcing his decision to quit YouTube. The 17-year-old content creator, whose real name is Thomas Simons, has amassed a massive following with over 10 million subscribers on his main channel and millions of views on his videos.

In a heartfelt video posted on his channel, Tommyinnit explained his reasons for leaving YouTube. He cited burnout, pressure to constantly create content, and the toll that fame has taken on his mental health as the main factors contributing to his decision.

“I love making videos and entertaining my fans, but the reality is that it has become overwhelming for me,” Tommyinnit said in the video. “I need to take a step back and focus on myself, my mental health, and my well-being.”

Fans were shocked and saddened by the news, as Tommyinnit has been a staple in the Minecraft community for years. Many took to social media to express their support for the young content creator and wish him well in his future endeavors.

Despite his decision to quit YouTube, Tommyinnit assured fans that he would still be active on other platforms, such as Twitch and Twitter. He also promised to return to creating content in the future, but only when he felt ready and inspired to do so.

While it’s always tough to see a beloved creator step away from the platform, it’s important to remember that their mental health and well-being should always come first. Tommyinnit’s decision to prioritize himself and take a break from YouTube is a brave and commendable choice, and fans should continue to support him as he navigates this challenging time.

I think it's goofy to think of the internet as being separate from the world. 20 years ago? Sure. Now? Goofy.

Dear Tommy: don't have Bo Burnham as your inspiration. If there's one thing to learn from him, you'll have a panic attack on stage one day and eventually quit comedy for a few years.

I was at my friends house and he had a pool next to a trampoline. I tried getting on the trampoline very fast, but then my nuts on the metal bar and my shin hit another metal bar.

Tommy's awful young to get stuck in a rut. I appreciate that he can compare and contrast, and identify what makes him feel fulfilled. That's really awesome. Good job, young'n. You got a smart brain.

"Once you've done it for a while, it doesn't get particularly more challenging" Jacksepticeye is on that exact same page (I wonder if the Youtube "retirement epidemic" was caused by that same reason).
