Unveiling the Hidden Realities of Amazon Pallet Flipping in 2022

Amazon pallet flipping has become a popular method for reselling goods in recent years. The concept is simple – individuals purchase pallets of goods wholesale from Amazon, then resell the items individually for a profit. However, behind the allure of easy money lies a secret truth that many new flippers may not be aware of in 2022.

First and foremost, Amazon pallet flipping is not as easy as it may seem. While some pallets may contain high-value items that can be sold for a significant profit, many pallets are filled with overstock, damaged, or expired goods that are difficult to sell. This means that flippers may end up losing money on certain pallets, especially if they are inexperienced or unaware of market trends.

Additionally, the competition in the Amazon pallet flipping market is fierce. With more and more people turning to reselling goods online, finding profitable pallets has become increasingly difficult. Many experienced flippers have established relationships with wholesalers and are able to get first dibs on the best pallets, leaving new flippers to compete for the scraps.

Another secret truth of Amazon pallet flipping is the hidden costs involved. In addition to purchasing the pallet itself, flippers must also consider shipping costs, storage fees, and listing fees when reselling the items. This can quickly eat into any potential profits, especially if the items do not sell as quickly as expected.

Furthermore, there is a risk of receiving counterfeit or damaged goods when purchasing pallets from Amazon. While Amazon does its best to ensure the quality of the goods it sells, there is always a chance that some items may slip through the cracks. This can result in negative reviews from customers and potential legal issues for the flipper.

Despite these challenges, Amazon pallet flipping can still be a profitable venture for those who are willing to put in the time and effort. By researching market trends, building relationships with wholesalers, and carefully sourcing pallets, flippers can increase their chances of success in 2022.

In conclusion, while Amazon pallet flipping may seem like a quick and easy way to make money, it is important for new flippers to be aware of the secret truths of this industry. By understanding the challenges and risks involved, flippers can make informed decisions and increase their chances of success in the competitive world of reselling goods online.

Amazon…restock, bulq….etc etc… have made a multi million dollar business out of this trend. Someone had a bee in their bonnet and now everyone is going crazy getting on that pallet selling train. Walmart and all these big turnover companies are getting paid by people like you and I to get rid of their outdated garbage. They save by you paying them and they have A LOT less trucks shipping them out to landfills. Both boxes I received were far from what I expected and most of it got donated to the food bank clothing stores or church giveaways. NOT worth it unless you have a store and can afford a warehouse or store to manage your sales….and a fair amount of money to buy good pallets with sellable items which brings in an actual profit. Very much something I won't get involved in again.

Clint, it can happen at auction. You might win, but if a certain minimum is not reached it can be cancelled. And you never know what the minimum is the seller wants to get. Also in finding new sources, over here they slowly start implementing "return costs". So to sent items return, to any shop you need to pay a certain amount per item. Thus less goods being returned, leading to less products going to your sources to buy from. Seeing this happen.
Let me give you one tip though, however I think you have thought of it anyways. Expand to liquidation. Liquidation sales should still be available, even when return goods get less. So you might get a bit more inventory that way. Also, but I dunno exactly where you are (or I didn't pay enough attention) try your hands at lost cargo. (usually from ships) Just some ideas.

I never really understood why companies wouldn't just have their own employees do the pallet fliping for them if it were so profitable.

We rarely go to Goodwill anymore. You can buy a new shirt for less than a used one at Goodwill. Even buying used books is getting so expensive. We have been listing items for free on our local Facebook group instead of giving them to Goodwill.

I call this time "The Culling of the Herd". The reason the prices have went up is because so many have jumped into reselling over the Covid shutdown and EVERYONE it seems has a channel putting it right into the sellers faces what they are making reselling. I don't fault the thrift stores or pallet liquidators for raising the prices. they are basically cutting out the middle man. That's ok, like you said your business plan has changed over time and that's key you have to adapt and overcome. There is allot of resellers who will drop off and have already because they don't have the desire to do the work or at least for the lesser ROI of recent times. Once the sales go down and they will because your non-reseller patron to any thrift store is not going to pay that price. The smart reseller will become more picky on what they source and sales will go down there also for the thrift stores and pallet liquidators.

I learned to never buy a pallet from a place that also sells retail. Valuables are diverted to the retail store. Bargain Lane in Fort Wayne is a scam.

Don't a lot of these places that sell the pallets take the good stuff for themselves first? That's the reason I stayed away from it.

Clint and Becky in regards to your honest view would it be possible for you both to do like a 30 min video showing us the process of buying unpacking and testing and listing just to give us curiously-minded

They did this to themselves the business is not so good any more because there’s so many people out there trying to do it and there’s too much demand and not enough pallets to go around so the prices have gone up. It’s dead because they went out and told everybody their business in these videos. So of-course people wanna go jump on it. And that killed the business

My country thrift stores you can never find cheap stuff as I've seen Usa videos, especially cloths and shoes. Most worst are those donation places. They normally ask big money if it some name brand, even little broken ones too has high price. Or ask over official retail store sellers prices in e.g. antic.

I love how honest you guys are . I do think it’s a wave. People will get tired and fall out due to the amount of work you have to do. It’s not a quick get rich it takes works. I am a newbie but I am taking my time. I am not having luck with eBay and Amazon seems too expensive. Even Facebook market place is getting a lot harder to sell. Wishing you guys luck and we will pull through this.
