Utilizing Prep Centers for Amazon FBA Sales: A Guide to Selling without Handling Products

For many aspiring Amazon sellers, the idea of managing inventory, packing and shipping orders can be a daunting task. However, there is a solution that allows you to sell on Amazon FBA without ever having to touch the products yourself – prep centers.

Prep centers are third-party companies that handle all aspects of inventory management, inspection, packing, and shipping for sellers. This service is especially useful for sellers who source products from overseas or who simply don’t have the space or resources to store and ship products themselves.

So how can you use prep centers to sell on Amazon FBA without touching products? Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Choose a reputable prep center: Do your research and find a prep center that has a good reputation for quality service and reliability. Look for reviews and recommendations from other sellers to ensure you are selecting a reliable partner.

2. Set up an account with the prep center: Once you have chosen a prep center, you will need to set up an account with them. This usually involves providing your Amazon FBA account information and setting up a payment method.

3. Send your products to the prep center: Once your account is set up, you can start sending your products to the prep center. They will inspect, store, and manage your inventory for you.

4. Create FBA shipments: When you are ready to sell your products on Amazon, you can create FBA shipments directly from the prep center’s warehouse. They will pack and ship the products to Amazon’s fulfillment centers on your behalf.

5. Monitor your inventory: You can track your inventory levels and sales through the prep center’s online portal. This will allow you to stay on top of your sales and re-order inventory when needed.

Using a prep center to sell on Amazon FBA without touching products can save you time, money, and hassle. By outsourcing the logistical aspects of your business to a reputable third-party, you can focus on sourcing and growing your Amazon business without getting bogged down in the day-to-day operations.

In conclusion, prep centers are a great solution for sellers looking to streamline their Amazon FBA operations and focus on growing their business. By partnering with a reliable prep center, you can effectively manage your inventory, pack, and ship orders without ever having to touch the products yourself. So why not give it a try and see how using a prep center can help take your Amazon business to the next level.

What is going to stop the prep centre stealing your supplier of you are using the wholesale model? How water tight are the contracts that prevent? Do they have loop holes?

I would love to know of some reliable prep centers. So far I’ve seen some require membership fees or start up fees which rub me the wrong way. I also see that some want a minimum # of items… I’m not sure I understand how the assess this? If we are doing online arbitrage it’s going to be sending some quantity of items to them here and there and not likely a single order of 300 units or whatever.
