EBAY is one of the largest and most well-known e-commerce platforms in the world, facilitating the buying and selling of goods between millions of users. However, with the rise of online scams and fraudulent activities, it has become increasingly important for both buyers and sellers to be aware of the potential risks and take steps to ensure their safety.
If you are a seller on EBAY, you may have come across horror stories of other sellers being scammed or taken advantage of by dishonest buyers. This can be extremely frustrating and disheartening, especially when you are just trying to make an honest living by selling your goods online. As a responsible and cautious seller, it is important to educate yourself on how to protect yourself from potential scams and fraudulent activities.
To help sellers navigate the potential risks on EBAY, a must-watch video has been circulating online that sheds light on the safety measures that sellers should take to protect themselves. This video provides valuable insights and practical tips for sellers to safeguard their transactions and minimize the risk of falling victim to scams.
One of the key points highlighted in the video is the importance of thoroughly documenting the condition of the item being sold, as well as the packaging and shipping process. This can serve as crucial evidence in the event of a dispute with a buyer, providing a clear and concrete record of the transaction and the item’s condition at the time of sale.
Another important aspect covered in the video is the necessity of communicating effectively with buyers and setting clear expectations regarding the item being sold. Clear and detailed product descriptions, as well as transparent and honest communication with potential buyers, can help to avoid misunderstandings and minimize the risk of disputes.
Furthermore, the video emphasizes the importance of understanding EBAY’s seller protection policies and familiarizing oneself with the platform’s rules and regulations. By being well-informed about EBAY’s policies and guidelines, sellers can better protect themselves and take appropriate action in the event of a dispute or fraudulent activity.
In addition to providing practical tips for safety, the video also serves as a reminder for sellers to trust their instincts and be cautious when dealing with unfamiliar or suspicious buyers. It is important for sellers to be vigilant and to take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of their online transactions.
In conclusion, if you are a seller on EBAY and genuinely care about your safety and security, watching this video is crucial. By taking the time to educate yourself and implement the recommended safety measures, you can protect yourself from potential scams and fraudulent activities, and conduct your business with confidence and peace of mind. Remember, being proactive and informed is key to ensuring a safe and successful selling experience on EBAY.

I think that is what these crazy people count on is that no one will go the extra mile to file with police and post office and everywhere else. This falls in line with (if you see something say something) and many times we let it go. And now it is out of hand. So yes prosecute to the fullest extent to hopefully put a stop to it and maybe get this person some help
I had a seller send me out a cut box and the bag was cut inside it was on the eBay picture also so sellers ain’t always honest either listed as new.
Great video, Kevin. Really hoping you don't take in so much of the criticism. Your content isn't for everyone. Not sure why they watch if they get so worked up. Thank you for putting tour family first with your job choice. Because of that so many of us get to enjoy GOOD, CLEAN video entertainment! THANK YOU! Love that your children each have a part in your videos. Well done!!❤
I haven’t had the wrong thing sent back yet !
But eBay doesn’t wait til you tell them what you got back they just return them as soon as they are alerted you received the return
Thanks for sharing Kevin.
I sold a telephone to someone and he did almost same thing. He sent me message that there are 2 parts missing, I said although its not possible but I will partially refund you then next day he said oh the phone is not working at all (this was new, unused) and left negative Feedback with refund request
It would be nice to have the buyers ebay ID so other sellers can block them. As others have said, I would definitely pursue something with the post office. I would also have USPS open the package. Dont discount the mental issue with this buyer. You never know what people are capable of these days.
How much for the Polar Bear plate beside the American Flag & under the Blue California plate?…
I would call the police and ask them if there is a possible crime committed by the return sender if it is a caustic item or bio hazard in the 'returned' package. Tell them the messages also.
You definitely can bring this up to the postal service outside of ebay. Ebay is not necessarily directly involved in the shipping process, you buyer and postal service are. You 100% can pursue legal action, he committed fraud using a federal service.
Who is this person?
Off topic Kevin, I am interested in the Larry Csonka photo you found recently. I don't see it on your site. Do you have it? Thanks? Tina.
If you made this person's eBay Seller Name known, certain eBay employees who watch your channel may be able to ethically funnel this information through the proper channels.
925 thrift
Something like that also needs to be reported to the post office, who may take it most seriously.
You would think what they are doing sending hate mail through the federal post office would be criminal and worth having the post office look into
def need an update, be safe. Some people just suck
I had item returned to me my wrapping in tact it was never opened they said not working . Not sure what to think .. change of mind I think annoying and another return said faulty got the return I said keep it now more experienced I know they wanted a gaming machine for free and they got one. Sellers need more protection. How do they get to send rubbish and liquid back in your case yes scary . Take it to the post office get them to open it or police . A big waste of your time the whole thing . Sorry this happened !so many other buyers oo% are fantastic great that’s what we need to concentrate on for sure.
This kind of thing drives me nuts. We live in this world of cancel-culture and obsessions over micro aggressions, but when clear cut harassment takes place, no one cares to do anything. Unreal that Ebay keeps allowing this guy back on to the platform harass and steal from sellers.
I saw the video from Wick “Flipping Junk” and was completely appalled. Just go throw that package in the dumpster.
I had a crazy one. Buyer bought my item and immediately left me glowing, positive feedback, before I had even shipped it. Words like "incredible item, much better than described…etc." And I hadn't shipped it yet. So I gave it another day before shipping it, then buyer puts in a request to cancel order…. In the world of eBay, buyers always win.
eBay automatically favors the buyer when you report a problem, leaving the seller to appeal. I had 3 buyers do the ol “switch-a-roo” last year and I won all 3 appeals. I filed two police reports in the scammers areas as well.
I saw both videos Wick did with those weird boxes. My concern is that this person may escalate.
Has it got a smell?? That's awful!
hopefully that works , but may be a waist of time opening at the post office , because they can say you made it that way before you opened it. lets face it some people are just jerks and we'll never be able to change that!! Good luck! Thanks Kevin!!
I've had the same thing happen to me last year.
You want to hear abuse I got a negative feedback from a buyer who has given out 42 negative feedbacks to sellers and he is still on the site
What are bubble bucks?
After selling on Ebay since 2010, I assure you, Ebay loathes their sellers.
Why on earth is eBay still so big? They're terrible to sellers, thereby encouraging scam sellers operate on the site, as well as bad buyers who steal items with fraudulent returns. I rarely even sell on there anymore, definitely don't buy on it because they do nothing to stop counterfeit goods, and it's just all around bad. Somebody needs to take a chance and just set up an "absolutely no returns" selling site. Basically, buy at your own risk, if you can't stomach the risk then don't buy from it. That's not a good solution but eBay is just not a good place to sell anymore. Especially for smaller and medium sized sellers. And definitely file a police report for theft and maybe also criminal harassment depending on what's in that package!
What does tbd mean?
Is redskin stuff legal to sell?
The reverse of this is when buyers are scammed via the zip code scam
I won't even sell gift cards on eBay any longer, the scammers definitely know the system and I've lost my items and money both with the last 2 I sold on eBay. I escalated the last fraud buyer to the local police department in NJ where they lived and never got anywhere with that as well. I really don't think the police department did anything even though I filled out a report with the investigator over the phone and forwarded them by email all the records regarding the transaction. eBay definitely needs to do more to protect sellers and they need to weed out the fraud.
Plot twist: Ebay does not care about sellers or your safety. This is the same company that hired thugs to terrorize an old couple.
Glad that someone with influence is stepping up to help us little guys!!
They are running a scam. Ehay needs to pay attention to how many times rhis oerson is requesting returns.
Buyers do lie and ebay takes up for them constantly I do not care how much money you have to spend. You need merchandise. So this bull sh#t about buyers being more important is b.s.Selkers are just as important.
Cool sales! Video was quite concerning. Especially knowing it's not the first time this person has done this type of nonsense.
I'm sure you know that Human "Bodily fluids" are considered a Biohazard. You may want to double bag the box for safety sake. Not only that, it seems to be a threatening tone to these actions. That can definitely become a problem.
In addition to the post office & E-Bay, You mentioned the Police, and don't know if it would help. You may want to seriously consider the Sherriff's Dept. in your County, especially if threats have been made. Many Sherriff Depts. have a dept. just for online issues like this. Keep them filled in on what has transpired. Update with any additional backlash you may get from this screwball. You won't lose anything to contact them and even ask for other suggestions.
I looked it up to see if what you were sent is illegal. "Not necessarily, but "If it was sent with intent to harass someone, then it's probably going to break your local harassment laws which make it a criminal offense."
Obviously that was the intent, so the Sheriff's Dept. may need to be aware.
Please keep us posted.
Can someone post the user name? We all need to be blocking this nut case.
It seems to me that if all the youtubers like yourself that make reselling videos that talk and scammers and bad buyers. Show that bad problem eBay buyer's name, you don't have to say their name just clearly show it screen shot and we the eBay community can police the platform and block them. One YouTube person did show the name of the bad buyer he talked about, and I promptly block that bad buyer. We the resellers can clean up the eBay problem ourselves at least to a large degree.
