Why work from home jobs didn’t work for me as a new mom

As a new mom, the thought of returning to a traditional office job after giving birth was daunting. The idea of leaving my precious baby in the care of someone else while I went off to work was something I just couldn’t bear. That’s when I started looking into work-from-home options.

I scoured the internet for job postings and platforms that offered remote work opportunities. From customer service roles to data entry positions, there seemed to be no shortage of options for someone like me who wanted to work from the comfort of their own home. However, as I delved deeper into these opportunities, I began to realize that these options weren’t quite what I was looking for.

Many of the work-from-home jobs I came across required long hours, strict deadlines, and even mandatory meetings and trainings. Having a newborn at home meant my schedule was unpredictable, and my time was not my own. I needed a job that offered flexibility and understanding when it came to balancing work and motherhood.

Furthermore, I found that the pay for many of these work-from-home jobs was less than desirable. As a new mom, the financial burden of raising a child was already weighing heavily on my mind, and I needed a job that could provide a stable income that would allow me to support my family.

Ultimately, I realized that the traditional work-from-home jobs just weren’t the right fit for me. Instead, I turned to freelancing and starting my own online business. These options allowed me to set my own hours, work at my own pace, and take on projects that aligned with my skills and interests.
