It must be nice that all they cared about are themselves. What about their parents? Freedom? How much? Let’s wait until to hear some stupid foreigner getting detain. These are a bunch of selfish people that are grouped in the same city.

I think it’s just a little ironic that the americans who “don’t want to work in an office” fly all the way to Indonesia just to rent “a place in a shared space where people gather to work and learn during the work day”

Cringe, the walking around outside with no shoes… locals really don't like it if you walk into their homes with your dirty, grimey feet after walking around outside barefoot. They'd still probly be very hospitable though.

this is so true, let's chat if you want to hear more. For those who are in Bali, as a fellow Indonesian, I would express my deepest gratitude. Please enjoy and use this opportunity and in the same time growing our local economy. One thing I would ask, please respect our culture, learn to blend in, and share this news to your friends. Don't let one hiccup or make some incident that might escalate the situation which resulting in a loss-loss outcome. THanks

Great, more entitled, selfie obsessed middle-class kids exploiting low wage earners.
We’re taking a family holiday to Indonesia this year but giving Bali a wide berth and basing ourselves in Yogyakarta.

Awful. These digital "nomads" live in a bubbles, never learning the language or leaving their confort zone, while destroying the natural environment.

As a trainee data analysis. This is my goal. But, but it looks like my idea of Hell and it’s everything I trying to get away from. As someone said, looks like a bunch of misfits. Loud, obnoxious, boring westerns.
    Not much integration happening.

Also the people on here aren't real Americans, they took the easy way out and they will regret it later in life when it matters the most

If you can't make it in America, you are either lazy, a snowflake, or not doing it right or a victim

Also, if it's as easy to work online, that also means you are easily replaceable. And not all Americans feel the way this narrator says, just the lazy ones and snowflakes

It's cheap sure, only if you keep earning your 1st world salary. It's easy to have a 'good life' when you're taking advantage of economically weaker countries ' purchasing power.
